Ok so the touch doesn't have a keypad. so the f...k what. It's the best phone out in the states right now in my opinion. The key to this phone is shortcuts and one of the best ways to get to contacts, media, and programs is through voice recognition. Especially when driving or if your hands are full. So tell me people what voice recognition program are you guys using. The stock one is so limited. I wanna be able to dial numbers by the number, have the phone recite my caller id back at me through my bluethooth head set when a call comes thru and all that. So please let us know whats out there.

After pruning through the internet, I have come across a few really neat voice recognition programs, VITO Voice2go seems to be the most attractive...I just posted it up in the downloads section...you can find it here...

thx for the research in a real way. The vito program is really nice bro. It does everything I want it to do. The only issue i'm having and maybe you can confirm this, is I cant do a damn thing through my bluetooth headset. The audio caller ID still comes out of the phone speaker instead of the headset also. The only thing that works good via bluetooth is answering calls. I cant make a call through my bluetooth by saying the contact thru the earpeice like in regular old stock voice dialer. Let me know whats up wit this venom

Also dash i found this right here for MS voice command. Its got the wm6 patch and so far its working decent on my Touch except the audio caller id doesnt work. Try it out and let me know if there are any other issues.

found this information after looking around...

Can I use my phone BlueTooth headset to be able to dial numbers with voice commands?

You need Audio Gateway profile, a system driver in your OS that makes your device receive incoming sound stream using BT headset. If you have it then it should work. You should get this driver browsing the web site of your device manufacturer or you can search a compatible ROM update browsing some other web resources.

I'll look for this profile for the touch...

oh ok so thats what it is. Ill look also. Let me know if u find it? Ive played with both programs and they both have things I like about them better than the other. I think Vito's voice recognition is way more on point because the program is trained to learn your voice. MS Voice Command isnt as accurate and uses standard voice recognition. But I like all the features that MS Voice Command has. I can go thru all my music and say the name of the artist in the earpeice and all the artist songs come up in media player. I thought that was kinda sweet when it worked. But in the end I think Vito is a better program cuz the voice recognition is more accurate.

I completely agree, I like vito voice2go a lot better from what I see...my computer is down for the count for now, ill get another one of my computers up and running and look a little more into how to get a bluetooth headset to work with this program.
