Has anyone seen, or know how durable the screen actually is? I've seen a lot of diff vids on youtube that show how well the iPhone's screen stands up to scratches from everyday use. But does anyone know how well the HTC Touch screen holds up? I would really like to know because I had the screen protector that came w/my phone on, BUT it just didn't look good when I installed it...so I took it off, but I'm worried that my screen will get scratched somehow.

the htc touch screen in my opinion wont get any scratches if you keep it protected with a case and keep it away from sharp metal objects.. the phone pretty durable in itself and has stoood up to some of my tests....

the screen is pretty durable and all i used the stock one liek oyu did and hated it with a passion than i drooped 15 bux and got a clearvue screen protector and love it. i cant even tell there is one on there and the best part about it is that it also helps with the glare from the sun!!!

Bro, can you link me to a site that has the exact one you have. Or can you give me the exact brand/make. I googled some, and the ones that looked really good said that you needed to spray some sort of app on it, and I'm kinda afraid to put any moisture/liquid on my screen. Somewhere in my users manual (yup, I actually read some LOL) said to clean w/any moist product or what not. Hella thanks bro, and one more thing, how easy was it for you to install yours? Thanks again bro!

clearvue is the name search google for it and it will pop up and really easy to install use a spray that comes with it and just spray a couple squirts on the sticky side and than apply and squegee took bout 2 minutes to do... and the best part it is reuseable so if you need to take it off just use some tape and will lift right up for you.

Hi Dash, just wanted to say thank you for all your help thus far. This forum has been great and I consistently find the info I need for my new HTC Touch.
At the moment I've been looking around for screen protectors and I trust your recommendation. So far the only ones I've found that fit the bill are the "invisible shield" ones.
I've done several searches on Google and eBay for "Clearvue" and they have turned up nothing.
Do you have a place you'd recommend buying it from?

did your touch not come with a screen protector in the box? because i received mine yesterday and it did......
and as far as the screen durability i have been reading that people have been getting a black spot in the middle or around the middle of the screen...i was just curious if anyone has had that problem so far......
and out of curiosity how long have you had the touch for dash?
i'm assuming you have had it for quiet some time due to your modz and appz.
cheers

Sorry about that... I was just asking if you would recommend any full skins that will protect the entire phone or if you just happen to use the screen protector?

1. yes it came with a screen protector but they really suck theres a link above that links you to one that is D/\SH Approved
2. no i havent had this problem and all those phones that are having that problem were made on a certain date and if yours is that date that will replace them for free in any store that actually has them in stock... they will check make date for you.
3. ive had mine since november 8th but all the mods that i have on my phone take about 1.5 hours max for me to install and that is max time usually a hour if i concentrate on it and dont get distracted.

i dont use them besides way back on my treo 700WX and my ipod. you can go to the following link and get one these are indestructable but they do add a little fade look but its more you noticeing it rather than anyone else since my friends thought i was crazy since they didnt notice the difference one bit. but i would go with this even if you frop the phone ob gravel it doesnt penetrate the shield and leaves the phone looking new. http://store.mobilitytoday.com/content/accessories/4-133--3403.htm

Hey no offense to any body. or to what they use. I found this one thing called Invisible Shield. It looked convincing. Here is the link to the website.

lol i tried the shildzone they are guarnteed for life but truthfully they are crap. there is mad glare on the screens evwen when not in the sunlight. on top of that they show fingerprints like mad. the ones i linked above are guarnteed for life but are reuseable and the glare even in direct sunlight is taken completely away. the shieldzone ones are the way they are (reasons mentioned above) because they are indestructable since they are made from the same material that helicoper blades are made from thats the reason for the glare and the fingerprint issue. i wouldnt recommend going with those but going with what i mentioned a couple posts above. your choice though just telling you from personal experience since i have bought many different screen protectors and this is the first one that i can say that i truely loved and wouldnt buy mine from anywhere else ever again unless the quality starts to drop which i doubt will ever happen.

I just want to be clear. The protector you use is the White shield one? When you install it does it leave behind alot of bubbles? Also can I use it for the Mogul? Im guessing I can but I just want to be sure.

get the one for the mogul they are shaped differently. and it is as clear as could be and doesnt leave behind bubbles. what i do is get my fingertips a little wet and than splash some water on it( dont use windex eats at the touch screen sensors) and than use a small squegee that is provided and it leaves no bubbles behind and you cant even tell it is there.

It came today but it doesnt fit my screen completely. On one side (left) it and the top it doesnt cover completely. I ordered the Mogul protector.

right it wont completely cover the screen or you wouldn be able to apply it. just get it centered on the screen which is why you use the water so you can slide it around. use some scotch tape and maker it in an O. (like make a circle by sticking the sticky part to the back) and than stick that in the corner and it will lift it right off. once you do that splash some water on the back and reallighn.
