I use to have XP shutdown when I first got my touch. I think after I install HTC customizer, I noticed that it's no longer in the launcher tab. Do you guys know how to put it back there? Thanks

I have both programs and I just checked and psshut is an option for my launcher. If my phone were yours this is what Id do...

Go to the launcher tab and double check to see if psshut is an option....
If not, go to the launcher on the Today screen (if you run the extra tabs to customize it) and click the red X and add it through the program list....
If its not there, double check that its still on your device and do a soft reset--especially if you didnt do one after installing HTC.

I think I did that. I went to the launcher tab, Clicked x. Look for the XP shutdown. I can't find it. I went to HTC customizer. Look for programs to add on the launcher. It's not there either. The XP shutdown on my touch is built in I guess. It was there when I first got the phone. I didn't install it.

I assume you bought yours from someone---not a retail store? The XP Shutdown is not a built in program. Its a 3rd party app. Its not called XP Shutdown though, look for a program called psshut. If that isnt there, look for the sticky of Dash's mods, its in there---you can re-install it.

You're probably right. I bought it from a friend. But I didn't think that she can install it. Anyways, One last question. How did the psshut dissappear though? Got any idea? Thanks for your help. I'm enlightened.

I dunno how it disappeared. Did you ever do a hard reset...that would kill it? If you want to reinstall it the program is right here on the site.

its an easy install especially if you di what i do. all you have to do is make a folder on your storage card called cabs or cab files. than evey file you download get the cabn file and placwe it in that folder on your storage card. than if you ever have to do a hard reset on the go or lose the program again (which i have never heard of happening) you will have them all there. and also add another folder called serials and place the serials to the programs if they have one in there so you can also register them... this is the best way for me since i will have them on my phones storage card and on my computer and wonthave to download them all over again if i had to do a hard reset

Thanks you guys for the help. I did not do a hard reset. I googled psshut b4 I ask AMJ my question. I didn't wanna install it coz I thought XP shutdown(as it was called by some) was a built in proggy and psshut is a 3rd party. Now I know and I'm relieved that things like this happen and it's normal. Thanks again I appreciate it.
