Video Format/Player for HTC Touch

So this week I fiddled around and converted one of my DVD's to 3gp format, and it worked really well on the Touch. Quality left a bit to be desired though.

It's been a while since I played w/ Pocket PC or Windows Mobile (I've been using Blackberry/Symbian, iPod and Nokia Internet Tablet OS) for the last couple of years, so forgive me if my questiosn are stupid.

How can I get more codecs into Media Player on my phone (is this possible?).

If not, what software should I download/buy to allow for better playback? Ideally, playback of iPod video format and/or divx/xvid would be perfect.

definetly use tcmp player for playing movies and such its free (well everything on the site is free... just do a search for it hope that helps

Thanks! I figured out why my original post was lost (it was never approved by a moderator).

I downloaded tcmp. I will try it out. I seem to remember it telling me that it couldn't play something I was trying to play, but I am unsure about that statement.
