Hey guys, I'm sort of a noob when it comes to smart phones as this is my first one. Basically I just got the phone on Saturday March 1st. As soon as I got the phone I started using it on the factory charge. I let it get down to very low levels then I charged it a little bit as I was out and couldn't wait to use the phone then charged it fully later in the night. From then on out I'd only charge it when it got low or completely discharged.
Recently I've been going to sleep with about 40-50% battery life and when I wake up in the morning the phone is completely dead. So the battery life is only lasting about 24 hours or less. I am running the phone pretty hard right now because I just got it and love it, but I'm surprised that it is dying over night in standby mode. I haven't paid attention to programs that are still running or whether or not its still in WiFi mode. Will this make a difference?
Also, I've heard that I should have charged the battery for atleast 8 hours as soon as I got it. I'm just hoping that I haven't screwed up the the "memory" of the battery.
Thanks in advance for any help or tips you can give me.

1. naw your fine you wont mess up the battery by not charging straight form the box.
2. if you have apps running in the background it will drain your battery fast on top of heavy use. i would recommend using wuick menu as your task manager
3. wifi also frains it really quickly also so make sure that it is switched off when not in use.

Didn't I technically not charge it straight from the box? I got it from a Sprint Store and just used it right away. Actually the dude just turned it on, whipped out his Mogul and beamed me some apps. He never said anything about charging really. So did I technically use it straight from the box?

alright, must have read it wrong. Well thanks for putting my mind at ease. I felt like my phone was going to be wrecked or something and I'd never have a good charge. I'll try turning all programs off and keeping wifi off.
I'm sure you'll hear from me if this doesnt help :D
