it seems like every time i install new apps on the touch, it takes longer to start up when i turn the phone on, and at times is just slower in general. should i install apps on the memory card? is there a general limit of how many apps i should have? how can i have all of the apps i want without it slowing down?

whenever you add something to the phone it will slow it down. look in the help desk area or do a search for HTC* performance and you will find an overclocking app and how to run it. but i install all my apps on the main memory since when you boot up the phone and wake up from sleep it loads the main memory stuff first and than the storage when done with that..... so if on hte card can conflict and give you errors which can result in a hard reset...... the overclock app will help you out and also make sure to keep the speed up to close all apps that you arent using by using xbutton in the top right or as i use quick menu. also xbutton has some errors and make sure you go to start/settings/performance/memory and make sure that you dont have mad apps running.
