View Full Version : Mogul: How to tell if I have Rev. A?

I just got my mogul a few day ago. I read that you need an update to get gps and rev a wokring on your phone. However, It already had GPS that worked fine. I just can't figure out how to tell if I'm using Rev a or regular EV-DO. Is there a quick way to tell? Also is there a site I can go to and test the speed of my connection?

It says EV in the bar at the top and I'm running 3.35.651.2 from 02/22/08 so I think I'm up to date.

if its 3.35 your on reva...but if you really wanna see. ##data# then enter your mrl and hit view..you can see all phone info...should say reva enabled....

I am able to view my stats without entering anything, I have to enter a password to edit them. When I go to view I see info under 2 days, Username and Advanced, but nothing resembling Rev. A in either. Am I in the right spot, or do I go thourgh edit? I also have no Idea what a mrl is. Sorry I'm such a big newbe but I do appreacate the help.

press ##778# then edit enter mrl....its the phone unlock code..look under ppc6800 help desk section their is a program in sticky section i posted so you can get it....enter that then hit..data parameters...will show revA mine says enabled.:yahoo:

yup or he can just go to sprint.com. they have a coverage map and you enter your zipcode and lets you see what services are in your area.

than all you have to do is call sprint and get your msl or use the app that kaos posted and get it than go to edit and change it.

on you phone from google, type in mobile speed test and go to the first link and run the test. If you are above 600KBs, then your phone is already rev a.

thats funny i am REV A for sure and only get 545.6 max! from that site.

How can that be? What am I doing wrong? LOL... I know the internet speed improved drasticly since REV A. Noticable speed improvment. So i have to have REV A!!

lol my area grand rapids is going to be the biggest heathcare city in the country so they gave rev a before new york to us..... so they have had a long time to work out the bugs and build more capable towers.

LMAO... Yea if the can get it to work on the TOUCH.... I have been reading the thread on GPS with WM6.1 for the touch. I know it works, but can they do it!! LOL. Venumx got it!!

A week ago they released an upgrade to the alltel touch to make the rev a and gps capable. I have it working on my sprint touch. They also have custom rom for the touch that are windows mobile6.1. The GPS on my phone now works!! The speed test from my phone averages about 700 - 950KBs. It also make the phone itself much faster.
