I have a problem with the HTC touch when I leave the country and roaming. When I turn the phone on it asks about data roaming and that charges may apply. I hit cancel instead of accept. I accepted it once before and had over $100 worth of data roaming on my bill. After that the color wheel goes crazy and keeps trying to search for a data connection. I hit dismiss and it keeps popping up. It also pops up a window saying that windows live was unable to connect and to check settings or make sure you have a data plan. Because of this I am unable to do anything due to the fact that the windows keep popping up and the color wheel is continuously thinking. If there is any settings that I may need to change please let me know. I have spoken to Sprint but they do not have a clue. I have the same problem when the phone is in airplane mode. I do not get the data pop up windows but the color wheel is continuously on. When going back to phone mode it creates the phone to lock up and a soft reset is needed before it will work properly. Thanks for any help anyone may have.

I have the data connection in the com manager turned off but the color wheel still continues to rotate and make the phone slow and almost unresponsive. I appreciate the input any other ideas.

ok the colour wheel is turning but do you know that it's because of the internet? do you have any programs running in the background?

i honestly don't know what could be causing this then...my last suggestion would be run a program like sktools and see if that does anything to increase the responsiveness of the phone and if you want/don't have too many programs on the phone to hard reset

to be honest i am not real familiar. sktools is what exactly? what does it do and how do i get it?

it just clears up all unneeded files on your device to get it just search for sktools onthe site and you will find it

the reason i believe it is data related is because it keeps popping a window saying windows live is unable to connect to the internet and to check ur settings or ur service plan.

right then maybe if you have windows live set to uhh automatically push your hotmail to it then disable that feature so it doesn't keep trying to connect to data maybe if you have live set to run on startup disable that too

ummm...if i had my phone i could check it but as i said earlier i dont but it think there should be menu button at the bottom of the screen then an "options" option in that menu if you go in there there should be something about syncing the inbox and how often..you can set it to off or something so it only syncs when you ask it to
