Mogul wont sync with PC

This morning i changed my Rom to the Nuerom V2.1, Build 5066, everything went normal and easy.. My restore worked nicely to bring everythign back for me :) (although in device ID is says im running 5060, kinda weird but imnot too worried about it) But now my mogul on connect to my pc, ive uninstalled active sync and still nothing... Now pluging it into the pc charges my mogul and the pc seems to try and connect, but i keep getting the dumb error that active sync cannot connect to the windows powered device...

any1 got any ideas?

hmmm i never had this problem w every single important step? did it flash correctly? did you try just to restart your computer and soft reset phone

yea everything went fine with the flash, yes i did restart the computer and i tried a few soft resets and hard resets on my mogul..

only thing i can think of since u probably havnt installed all the stuff on it again is to reflash it and install the rom again and see what happens

you didnt restore a backup did you????? doing that restores the old rom that you have been in when the backup was performed.

this has been discussed many of times..check your firewall either allow port 990 or shut the firewall off.and try to connect.. and when you update your rom at least it happens to me i had to always reinstall active sync.

yea I didn't realize a backup would restore the old rom.. learning experence.. as for my other issue it looks like I picked up a nasty virus from somewhere so im hoping that is the cause of my syncing issue..

now I have to figure out how to back up my programs and contacts to restore to the new rom...

no way for programds but the contacts have been discussed before as well nasd the backups...... use pimbackup, mail2web, activesync, etc.......... for the contacts.
