Hey guys,

As some of you know, I have been a Wckediden member for about 4 months now, and I praise the site and all the support from everyone here. Im a smart-phone user of the last 3 years, started with a treo 650, moved up to a treo 700wx and got hooked on windows mobile. Loved the 700wx with just some little apps it was a great device. I never flashed it and it just worked. I was itching for something new and sprung for the Sprint mogul 6800 about the time I joined this site. I got it home opened it up synced my contacts, and threw on some ringtones and went to using the 6800 and was very unhappy with the stability and speed of the 6800 so I went online and started reading, and within a few hours I started flashing different roms and radios to try to fix what I thought sprint had messed up. I have literally flashed all but a few roms on Wckediden for the mogul and have been very pleased with the design and bundled apps in the roms. I have to give kudos to no2chem, and kaos and the others whom roms I have played with, they are great. But they didnt fix the functionality of my 6800. The issues I constantly face are, when the phone detects an incoming call while I am doing something with the phone(using calc, looking at contacts, txting, ect.), it will first vibrate, for a second then the orange status light will flash, and the ringtone kicks in, the notification area appears and displays whos calling and then I can do nothing, I hit the answer soft key or the green answer key and nothing happens it just continues to ring until it goes to voice mail. This happens about 30 percent of all incoming calls.

The next constant issue is about 50 percent of the time when I receive a text msg when the phone is sleeping (lights off, idle) it will never make a sound or wake up, or click the status light, It will just start steadily vibrating, and wont stop until I manually power cycle the device. I walked in my room and grabbed it the other day it was vibrating and according to the time stamp it had been buzzing for 57 minutes straight.

I also have some ghosting issues when I attempt to return from my text messages to HTC Home It will “scramble” the screen for a few seconds and freeze I power cycle and its fine. I have tried different roms and different radios and have had these issues throughout. I have hard reset, I have tried re-upping my HTC home and even not using it. It still all happens. It lags horribly, and I soft reset about 3 ties a day, I never leave any apps open, I delete my texts and call history every night. I just dont get it. It has never even with a stock rom, ran as smooth as the ones in the vids from dash and everyone else.

Im wondering, if I just have a bad unit from the get go, I have tried the hard resets, I pull the battery and hard reset following each rom flash. I think I have tried all I know how to do, is anyone else seeing these issues? Theyre more issues I am having but cant recall them right now. I will edit them in as I remember.

For the first isuue thats has happend before but not 30% of my calls. As for the second issue yes the phone stay vibrating ocasioanlly and stays vibrating, but never for 57min. i usually push the side power buton to illuminate the screen and then it stops the vibatration. and the htc does scramble ocasioanly but shouldnt freeze. it shoud scamble then fix itself. mine has never frozen.. HARD RESEtING AND iS ALWASYS GOOD.... alsawy using a pp like sktools to optimize and clean is greart to run too..!

almost sounds like you got some bad hardware from the factory or your motherboard is startingto go since it was overheated........ this was a common problem with a couple batches of moguls...... trust me i got 24 i had to ship back to them because they all did this.
