hahahahah no not really unless you didnt use the usb 2.0 cord and used a sd card adapter and did it directly..... cuts the time by more than 60%

well wisbar builds the hell out of your registry holding the settings.... i would do a hard reset and try over again and see what that does for you.

Bro I did that. I saw 9 folders in oceania's destop/theme. I put the ladnscape in there and the protrait but I cnt pull it up on the theme manager. It was on my phone thru file explorer but nuthin shows wit the themes. I really need a detailed step by step on this.

I'm not sure if i can make it any clearer but I'll try since i've put this on and off my mogul about six times :-) Make sure you have wisbar advance 3 and wisbar advance desktop loaded on your device. then put the mobile vista folder somewhere that you remember(i put it on my memory card to save space) then go into wisbar advance settings and go to theme and choose wisbar advance themes (not desktop) and click on the bottom right menu. Choose install and go to where you put the mobile vista folder and open it and choose mobile vista wisbar...that should work for the wisbar advance...now for WAD...u need to connect to active sync and click explore then you want to click on the little phone icon that says windows based mobile device. Once that opens then you should see the themes folder. Open the themes folder and then open the desktop folder. Then drag the Mobile Vista WAD folders for portrait and landscape into it. After that you just go into wisbar advance settings on your device, make sure desktop is checked under the plugins option and then go into the theme part of wisbar advance settings and click on desktop. You should have a choice of vga portrait, vga landscape, qvga portrait, qvga landscape and under those you should now see your mobile vista and mobile vista landscape. Choose mobile vista for portrait and mobile vista landscape for landscape. Hit apply and you should be good to go...hope this helps, I don't think it could be any clearer with this and the video...hit dat rep

So just list all the stuff that needs to be a themes folder. Because its in there but not showing up on my phone thru theme. Its shows up on my file explore.

the reason you you weren't answered becasue we dont provide support by pm and emails especially when you clicked on the private forum the errors pops up clear as day on how to view the forum, apparently you neglected to follow it. I have Wisbar Advance 3 and the Wisbar Advance Desktop that I got from this site. Right now, I had to reformatt my computer so I won't be able to give it a try again. When I do I will probabaly post that it works. Thank you so much for creating this application, it looks amazing.

On another note, I am at the end of the road trying to setup Vista Mobile on my Sprint Mogul. I've tried and done everything as suggested in this thread. But no luck whatsoever. I've tried everything I could and have seen alot of posts in here with the same problem I've had so I decided to put together a video for my scenario.

Brief summary:

Downloaded all the files from Wckediden just this morning (Been trying this since Friday morning). Installed both Wisbar Apps to the device memory (not storage card, although I tried that too). After installing, no folder in the device's root folder. Tried rebooting, still no folder. I even tried creating the specified folders, but still no luck.

Yeah. It is running wm 6.1. What's the reason it wouldn't work with a stock rom? Can you suggest a rom that would keep my phone as clean as possible. I don't like slowing it down with too much stuff I wouldn't use...

Also, if I went to a new rom but ever need to go back to original, i should be able to download the original rom from htc.com and put it back to how it was right?

Well I would have liked a different rom which will make my Mogul faster. However, the Take 5 wasn't too much to my taste and I don't really want to spend too much time messing with it. I did find a nice rom I liked on here which was really close to the original but it was for the touch and wouldn't flash to my phone. I'll keep looking for other roms that would fit for what i'm looking for. Let me know if you know of any...

i dont understand....... kaos' has a clean rom (as clean as you can get without losing important windows features) and you want a clean rom. kaos has the best rom out there stability wise thanks to him and no2chem.

Sorry, i guess I wasn't too clear... The rom it's self was super fast.They did an awesome job on it. It just had too many custom touches to it that weren't to my taste and would have taken a while to go through...I'll probably end up going back to it eventually. But for now, I'm on the stock rom.

( by the way i love the avatar :> been wings fan... used to live in grand rapids, mi) and for the not showing have you taken a look at the video and tried to do it both on your phone as well as through mobile device center or activesync?

yes I tried both my computer took too long in the activesync and I also had to go into the directory the desktop folder didn't show up right away. I moved the files there and my comp took too long so I said screw it and moved the files from my phone into that directory. If i was patient that's what i'd do but I had to go back to work and it just seemed odd that it would take my comp that long, I transfered garmin onto a memory card quicker then that. I appreciate the help but I have raised the white flag and I went back to tfl2d, and when I get tired of that I'll be back over asking dumb questions lol. Thanks for the help tho.

yes as it states in the first post and throughout the thread you need the origianl WAD and you cant use version 2 becasue of the changes that were made to the app wouldnt allow the theme to display or be read.

i dont have a phone that i can run that on at this point. my touch i got from lalo via trade is being used by my mom right now (to test) and the only devices i have other than that is a touch and touch pros (2)

all you have to do is enter author mode and remap it.

its not the rom its how your setting it up.... your doing something wrong... i would watch the video again.

ok look im using this theme. what u need to do is download wa3 and wad. the wad u need to download is elboriyorker wad1.3 something. once u do that download the 2 zip's the the zip that has the landscape and portrit in it pull it up and wait. pull up ur active sync and open ur file explore, and if u downloaded elboriyorker wad it should say themes. open themes and it will bring u to desktop open that. go back to ur zip file with the 2 things i said that should be in it and copy 1 at a time and send them to ur phone. once ur sync has completed u can set up the theme. but before u do that in ur file explore open my documents and the other zip file copy it and send it there. now pick ur phone up and go to file explore my doc install the cab files from that zip and ur done with that part. now hit the windows button programs and go to wa3 go to setting go down till u see themes click that u have 2 options portrit and landscape. on portrit set windows vista go to landscape and set windows vista landscape. do that so when u slide ur keyboard out the screen dont look all messed up. ok u have good luck doing what i have told u that is set by set what u need to do ok. also dont forget to hit the thanks.

If you can make it into the a rom that would be pretty sweet and also that radio player from the juicy 3.x would make it pretty cool. If it can be done that would be crazy man.

activesync is needed to get files so yes.... and look at the videos and read the thread it will tell you how to install....... your thinking why 30 some pages have to be read? because all your questions have been answered and you didnt read so now you can read and have to put up with the same questions being asked left and right like i had to put up with and you just added to again...... im not trying to sound like a dick but reading is fundamental.

yes all you have to do is add through WAD in the author mode.

When you're in author mode tap and hold the screen till you get the author menu to pop up and the choose new text or something like that and you can choose sms or something like that and it will show on the the screen "sms: 0" the zero will change when you get a new text...you can do this for missed calls and emails as well...sorry i couldn't be more specific but i haven't used this theme in a while and thats all i could remember off of the top of my head...
just fiddle around with it for a while and you'll figure it out.

we have the steps and info throughout the first thread and the video was plenty clear is day... he showed you the steps one by one and if you cant just do the same thing he did on the video than i think your in the wrong field.

Alright So I got this bad boy working so it's all love peace and hair grease.....But there is one problem that remains is there away to create a shortcut that opens a dock and there is your contacts and I dont mean something that will send you to your contacts something similar like adding a grid then adding a contact there?

ok look i was using this theme. what u need to do is download wa3 and wad. the wad u need to download is elboriyorker wad1.3 something. once u do that download the 2 zip's the the zip that has the landscape and portrit in it pull it up and wait. pull up ur active sync and open ur file explore, and if u downloaded elboriyorker wad it should say themes. open themes and it will bring u to desktop open that. go back to ur zip file with the 2 things i said that should be in it and copy 1 at a time and send them to ur phone. once ur sync has completed u can set up the theme. but before u do that in ur file explore open my documents and the other zip file copy it and send it there. now pick ur phone up and go to file explore my doc install the cab files from that zip and ur done with that part. now hit the windows button programs and go to wa3 go to setting go down till u see themes click that u have 2 options portrit and landscape. on portrit set windows vista go to landscape and set windows vista landscape. do that so when u slide ur keyboard out the screen dont look all messed up. ok u have good luck doing what i have told u that is set by set what u need to do ok. also dont forget to hit the thanks.

not the storage card it will be on the amin memory...... there is no easier way to put it than the video and the write up below it..... thats the only way and we have done all that we can to tell you how to do it......

If your activsync is acting up, try uninstalling it and reinstalling it on your computer. That fixed it for me when mine was acting up:)

Yea but I saw someone on Modaco got it to work for them so I think I can get it to work if I can just get it into the correct folder and it isnt really isnt activesync but more my phone. The USB port is damaged so I cant connect to my computer

you can do it right off of your phone....... there is a themes folder that will appear if you download and install the right apps like the first post says in the edit that was made about a month ago.

theres an edit button for a reason. you need to install it to the main memory and not the card like already stated in this thread. and yes you need wad and if its a exe file with the program icon to click on you have to run from the computer and not the phone.

no this will not work on the diamond and use the built in search feature... you will find it in green on the site taskbar or at the top of the screen to the right of the banner on every page....

you need to add to the themes folder and than choose from the wad options under themes jsut like the video and everythign else... if its not showing than you are using the wrong verison of wad or wa

what do you mean install itself? and yes they will take a while there is quite a few image files there

yeah you can still use wisbar... just go to the lakeridge forums and you will find vga formatted ones that will work with all vga screen resolutions.

than you installed the wrong version of WAD...... you didnt use WAD2 did you? once you install the correct version the folder will apeear.... i would re-read the first post since it tells you the version that you need.

Yeah just delete whatever file you made in your phone , and just start fresh uninstall and reinstall follow the step's like in the video and you shall have the theme. This theme is great once you have it on your phone....

ok did you install desktop like the first post said also? you need wisbar advance 3 and wisbar advance desktop to make this work and WAD gives you that folder. and you cant be using WAD2 because the image names are different in that version over the original

the logon screen is already there, just tap and hold on the wallpaper and choose "next page" until you get to the screen. From there you can tap and hold the background again and choose to set it as the first page so that it pops up whenever you wake up your device.

dude relax and give us some time to answer your questions, we are not all just sitting on this site 24/7 waiting to answer your questions. Like DJCasper said, just play around with it and give us time to answer before you ask again. To get the icons behind the start menu tap and hold the icon and select "send to back" and then the start menu will cover them when it is pulled up. As for icons, you have to download different icons than what comes with WAD if you want different ones. do a search for icons...plus, i'm pretty sure all of your questions have been answered in this thread so you should read before you ask any questions...if you don't want to read through all 46 pages then tough cause the reason there are so many pages is because of people asking questions that have already been answered.

make sure you have WA3 and WAD and don't have wisbar advance desktop 2 as this theme will not work with WAD 2. Use WAD 1.3 which is on this site just use the search

go into author mode by clicking and holding on the screen and send that icon to background.

do a search, we have a cracked version for here. I found the one that is compatible with this theme on the first page. I think the mirrors contain a keygen and the attached cab files are pre-cracked so you don't have to register. first of all this wont work since this is made for qvga resolutions and no VGA like your touch pro...... also all the info is right there in the first psot with video tutorials even so please read the posts and the threads since they are there for a reason... you cant be lazy around here and not read and expect everyone to hold your hand or you wont last..... take a look at my signautre for some stuff that will be helpful for you.

haha ik this kinda old now but i came bak to this themeto try it out again. and just a few questions how do you add stuff in the systm tray. and the clock in the bottom right conner want open says could not locate /windows/startmenu.Selboriyorkertime.lnk. And one last thing in one of the post it said to move ur icons faster is to use author mode then just drag the icon to whereever u want and that didnt work for me i taped and hold on screen
clicked on author mode tryed dragging icon nothing happend so ya wut am i doin wrong there. pls help ty

for number 3 I believe he needs to tap and hold, go into author mode and then tap and hold again and unselect the lock icons option to be able to move them

whats up everyone watching the video is kinda hard thats why i made a tutorial. it's step by step to install the theme. also to answer ur question about the icons at the bottom the same way u put the icons on the desktop is the same why u put them on the system start bar. u just have to resize the icon to what u want and u can move the icons were u want down there left or right just dont put the 2 far to the right.

I installed wisbar adv desktop, and wisbar desktop 3, installed and was kinda working, then I tried to install theme and rebooted phone and phone is frozen. 1st black screen w blue bar at bottom..then I opened keyboard just trying to get some kinda reaction it said wisbar blah blah..please wait....so I waited and just blank screen?? Any idea how to fix this? Hard reset I guess?? hmmmm damnn thisa sucks!!!!!!!!!! I was impatient and wanted that damn theme....

yep this theme will only work for qvga devices like the mogul and touch, not the touch pro or diamond. You should be able to avoid a hard reset if you can get to your WAD settings and restoring it to the default theme

Yeah thanks for the help guys, did a had reset..but it's cool..I back my phone up and sync my phone constantly so I didn't loose anything...just kinda freaked me out for a min thought my phone was bricked! I guess Mobile shell was so easy that I jumped into this without thinking about what I was doing. So I can run WAD on here, just not this theme correct? i just need a vga theme which I can find over lakeridge and I think I seen a few around here. I just really want the vista look on my phone and WAD seems a bit more detailed than mobile shell. Any info would be great...
