Setting up your phone to receive email should be simple, but for me it's been a little frustrating. What I want is to be able to check my MSN email by simply pressing the envelope button on my phone, which takes me to the Messages screen, and then click the item on the menu that accesses my account online. Keep in mind that all I want is the ability to check my email through my phone, and perhaps (if it's possible) to be notified through a text message if an email from a particular person has been received. I do not want the messages to be erased from the server because I want to be able to download them to my desktop and have my desktop remove them from the server. Again, I don't want to have my desktop's email synced to my device. I use Incredimail as my email client, not Microsoft Outlook.

I know I can just use Internet Explorer to check my email, but a better way has to exist. I came across the following program that supposedly acts an email client. I think it's called Morange, and claims to be free. Anyone recommend it?

make sure you know the incoming and outgoing mail servers prior to setting up outlook, Open Messaging on the phone. go to menu then new account. Setup you email there. if it cannot automatically detect the incoming and outgoing servers then you will need to manually input them in. If not. Call you provider (sprint, att, etc.) and they will help you over the phone to configure it!

Thanks! I appreciate your support. I had tried your suggestion before but it didn't work for me. This time, however, I selected to not have the program automatically detect the incoming and outgoing servers, and this finally brought me to the screens that ask you to manually input the server settings. I wasn't getting this before when I left the automatically detect check box on. Everything finally works great.

Now I have one more problem regarding the email. I had created a previous account that I could never get to work. How do I delete it from my list?

Once again, thank you for your support!

Yours Ren

Hi Matt,

I appreciate you trying to help me erase the Outlook Email account that listed on my device. Unfortunately, I couldn't find what you were talking about.

Whenever I press the envelope key on my phone, it takes me to the Messaging screen. If I have an email or text message available, I will see a list of these items in the order in which I received them. If there are no messages, I see four items on my screen. From top to bottom, those items are Text Messages, Outlook E-mail, MSN Email, and the New E-mail Account option. On the lower left side of the screen is the Select button and the Menu button is on the right. Within the Menu button, there is nothing that allows me to remove this account from the list. Even if I try to erase the server name that I placed in it, it won't let me get rid of it. Is there another part of Windows that I should be looking at?
