Voice Command Attempts

So the last piece of the puzzle I'm working on for my Mogul is some manner of voice command (I relied on this heavily on my lg).

I'm using Kaos' take 2 rom and have tried MS VC 1.6 and the newest Cyberon app, but had trouble getting either to work right. Been searching around a bit, but couldn't come up with any posts similar.

On the Microsoft one, hitting the voice command button showed the icon in the taskbar, but no announcement. It did seem to respond to commands, but never prompted the first time, and I could never get it to respond to bluetooth. Any ideas?

On the Cyberon, I followed Dash's post, put the folder on the card, but when I clicked on the executable, it just launched the program. No install, no prompts, just say a command. As such, I couldn't get a button attached to it. Is there something else needed to install it?

naw not for cyberon...... but voice command has always had troubles through bluetooth on ppc........ it works fine for me on that rom i would look at the fixed version found here bro and try that puppy out...... i use this and love it on my touch and mogul.

So far, same result. The microphone icon appears in the task bar, and if I speak, it recognizes the command, and voice prompts seem to work (if a bit quitely after that). So far no luck getting it to work with the bluetooth yet. The dial button (plantronics voyager 510) has no effect. If a call comes in, I hear the ring and announcement in the head set, and I can answer and end calls with it, but can't start voice command with it.

More research to go yet I guess. This is the last piece of the puzzle I have for this round (read: until I learn how to make my own roms) and one I'm really hoping I can get going.

EDIT: DOH! *facepalm* It never even occured to me to try a soft reset after installing VC. Rebooted and it now seems to be working perfectly with the bluetooth. Time for some testing.
