Mogul phone won't ring

I am not sure if this is the right place, but I just sold my mogul with selboriyorker shell and other software from this wonderful site, and the person is telling me that they can't get the phone to ring. sounds for text msg and other alerts work but not phone calls... any sugjestions you can give me to getting the phone ringing

tell him to make sure he has a tone selected from start/settings/personal/sounds and notifications...... he might have the it set to silent instead of ring.
