ok i was just wondering if anyone had a way to cancel the tone after you click ur txt message, like when you set a ringtone and put it for your sms alert it plays, but it plays even after i reply to the sms untils the ringtone is over. is there a way to get it to automatically stop after you open up the text message? thanks im running windows mobile 6.

so like a normal phone we cant just ckick the txt msg and the ring tone wont stop....???
Its annoying becasue i want to use a custom song for my txt msg tone but it plays the full song,it does not stop (like every other normal phone) when txt is open or even deleted......
any updates on how we can solve this issue......
(I dont want a short sound tone like beep when i get a txt msg, reason being i might not hear the short sound when away from the phone)

Just create a wav file thats a couple seconds long that you like and use that. There is no other way. Its not that hard...choose song, choose fav part, cut down to just that part, select it as text message sound.

well make it 10 secinds than and when your done drop it in the windos folder and it will show for all sms tones to choose from...... and you can go to www.cellsea.com and you can trim them easily and find some premade ones........ i dont like mine more than a few seconds anyways since it will only drain the battery if you have it on there longer.... and you said you need it long so when your upstairs you can here it downstairs? i live in the basement also at my house and i have no troubles looking at the status lights on the phone to tell when i missed a call or a text......... works great and can do it with only a quick glance.
