I have a new Touch, I unlocked it with cokemans unlocker and when I try to flash a rom I get an Invalid Vendor ID error. My carrier is Alltel and I am trying to upgrade to the latest 3.42.50 radio rom and from what I can see I have to flash the Bell Mobility rom 1st in order to get that radio. What am I doing wrong? Or is the 3.42.50 radio available seperately?

ok you would unlock but what rom are you trying or wanting to flash to your phone??? is it a stock rom from a service provider or a custom like most users here use?

Sorry Dash, I know better, should have given you more info. I was trying to flash the Bell Mobility 3.09.666.1 ROM because I wanted the 3.42.50 radio from that ROM, then after I had that I was going to flash to either OMJ's latest or a custom one I make through ppc kitchen.

Dash, that's where my problem lies. I started with a new out of the box Alltel Touch/Vogue and unlocked with Cokemans version 2.31, says .40 after I unlock. I then flash to the Bell and I even tried the Sprint ROM from OMJ's ROM page with 3.42.30 radio and the flash gets to about 30 to 50 % and hangs and then an error comes up, phone restarts and goes to bootlader, but it is no longer unlocked with .40, I have to reflash to the stock Alltel ROM or it does nothing. I have no f*ing clue and I have flashed quite a lot already. Sorry for the novel.

Ok, I feel like I'm back in kindergarten here, but when I download the unlocker off your sig line. I then extract it and then go to that file and run the ruu.exe to unlock it 2.31 correct? Cuz that's what I'm doin and I get to the bar where it shows the % done and it never goes past 0 and then errors out. I'm ready to haul out the budweiser and see if that helps any

Same here, invalid vendor id.
I was trying to update my HTC Touch GSM with this rom from HTC -> http://www.htc.com/sea/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=88&cat=2&dl_id=421 (http://www.htc.com/sea/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=88&cat=2&dl_id=421)
I got my Touch from HK and this update is for Asian HTC Touch, a WM 6.1 rom update, not sure why I get the invalid vendor id error still.
Any idea how to get around it?

is the rom that you are downloading meant for the gsm version of the phone? if it is saying wrong vendor thats becasue your trying to flash another carriers rom other than your home carrier.... you can unlcok the phone using the gsm version of the unlocker and than you will be able to flah all gsm versions roms made for your phone. the best place to find the stuff for you flashing roms is over at xda-developers and than once you ge thte rom you can come back to us for all your apps, games, etc needs :> enjoy your phone and let us know how it goes for you.
I bought my Touch GSM in Hong Kong, the HTC Touch rom update is for Asian Touch (link I posted) and mine is unlocked and not part of any provider. I can put any sim and it will work, I tried People's sim (HK), Globe, Smart, Sun (Phil sims) and they all worked.
