for sure, i was at school in spanish class when we got the announcement overhead...... the next 2 weeks all we did was go to the cafeteria, performing arts center, gym, and auditoriums a and b and watch the coverage. it was and always will be the craziest and saddest event in my life.

I was on my way to work (live on CA) listening to a radio show. They always screw around and have skits. So when they were talking about it, I thought it was a joke. But, after a little bit, I realised they were serious. They happened to have a guy in NYC for some reason and he was on the phone describing the scene from a nearby hotel window. While they were talking, he started freaking out talking about "One of the Towers just came down!" I just started crying. I'm from NYC, so I felt it deep.

I was working in a data center in Newark, NJ, heard about the first plane, went outside and looked at the sky in disbelief. I went back into the building, got my stuff and said I was going home -- I did not return to Newark for 2 weeks, working instead from home until I felt that I could return.
