I have a serious problem with my Mogul. I screwed up by letting it get wet and now all I get is the orange light and an occasional vibration to let me know it's still alive. Nothing else is happening!!! I called Sprint and all they could say is "Is it under warranty?" Anyone have any ideas as to my next step? Trying to save my most loyal friend; My Mogul PPC.

Well if it is under warranty just take too sprint store they will make you pay the 50 dollar insurace fee and you will get a new mogul. And if your not paying that 6 buck month for the insurance looks like you have a toast mogul. Altho you probably could get a touch or mogul cheaper now since people are selling theirs cause Diamond is out the Touch Pro is on the way !!!!

Actually almost no sprint store will replace a water damaged phone, even if you have insurance. You'll have to wait for asurion to send you on, if you do have insurance. I find it funny that if your phone gets stolen you can go pick one up right away, but a drop of water changes the whole thing.

lmao i meant, if it was wet then it's all on you. they won't fix it or anything. but if you're lucky, you can get someone who won't check it and they'll replace for you. but that's like 1:1000000000000000000 lol

if you have the six dollar insurance on your mogul water damage should be covered...if not I would just get a new battery and then try to change it, because the battery has a bar on it that changes color if it gets wet, thats how they can usually tell if your phone got wet

Thanks Everyone for the advice. It has indeed been one hell of a day. Went to the Sprint store and yes they "confirmed" it got wet after I told them it was. Told me it was an insurance issue so I took it into my own hands and did a little surgery. I have the insurance so I figured what the hell? I have everything back now except the light on the keyboard. Still working on that. Next time anything happens, I will consult you guys instead of the Sprint Officials. Some of them really suck. I really don't want to get rid of it especially after all I put into it. I do want the Touch Pro but Sprint screwed the original design so I will be looking for an unlocked one. Thanks again for the concern and the good advice.

 I am reading this thread and it sounds like you are recently a noobie to sprint altogether. there are ways around things....in your case u have to use insurance cause there is proof of water damage, however, if you the phone is under manufacture warranty, sprint has to grant u with a replacement. get the right representative and youll see.
