Noobbut want to learn more

I am a noob to the whole phone app/modding thing, but a computer nut. All of this sounds really cool. I would like to participate and learn while not bricking my phone.

I live in Lubbock, TX and am 44. You guys appear to have a GREAT website and I am interested to learn more.

Also, I sell heating and air conditioning equip to contractors and am a traveling salesman so my phone is VERY important to me. (alltel htc6800)
