Hi,
I just got an HTC Touch
all is in order but I seem to lack a software 'getting started' CD
what can I do so that my Touch can connect with my Windows XP
How can I install my drivers?
Is there a Getting Started CD available for download somewhere?

YEah but if I remember right all that really comes on it is Windows mobile device center

since you are on XP you will want to use activesync.... you can find here :>

hii im not really familular with all this theme stuff but i wanna put a theme in my phone but i dont have a cd as well ive tried that activesync thing but it doesnt connect to my phone what do i do? :\

you have the program installed on the computer correct? after you do that and plug the usb cord into your computer than into your phone what does the computer do?

after i do that the activesync program tries to connect my phone with the pc but it fails to every time

check your firewalls and make sure they arent blocking anything..... and also you have windows xp correct?

yes i am using windows xp and i have check the firewalls ive also tried to uninstall and reinstalling active sync, checking the settings on my phone and looked at the connection settings on active sync making sure i can connect through the usb cord but nothing seems to work ever time i connect my phone through the usb cable to my pc after a while of trying to detect my phone an error window pops up saying "active sync cannot connect to Windows mobile device. to troubleshoot the problem click ok" when i click ok another window pops up ;

hmmm I used tohave that same issue, go to you device settings/connections/usb to pc and uncheck advanced network functuality option
fixed it for me

hah scared me LOL, how do i do that? when i reset it do i need to get all the programs on it again? (the ones that it came with the phone when i bought it)

glad I could help. thank goodness that Wckediden mobile is up again, I can lurk around a whole lot better now
