Ouch... Tried to install new rom and seem to have buggered up the phone. I get the infamous tri-color screen with usb connection to mtty.... nothing else. I cannot connect through active sync, etc. and of course the phone will not boot into WM. Tri-color screen indicates "security unlocked" , DIAM500 SPL-0.057.0000, MicroP-Diam (LED) VB.

After lots of reading the only option I see is using mtty to install a "working" ROM on the phone but cannot figure out how to accomplish this. Looks like you would need to know a starting address and length of the file in order to use the lnbs command to transfer the image?

Any thoughts or am I just wasting time (which I already have done)

1st I'm gonna say post in the right area. 2nd is the phone unlocked and 3rd read my sig or any other staff members sigs and they will guide you the right way

ok plug your phone in and let it sit for about 20 seconds. than take the rom that you are trying to flash to and open the ruu and than run the romupdateutility.exe and see what that does for you once you follow the stpes.... jsut be sure once you run the file NOT to unplug it..... jsut let it be until the device soft resets itself. and if you get any errors also let me know.

Thanks for the replies. I hate that fact that I'm a new forum member and my posting skills are minimal. I've read lots of posts and can feel for people as they stumble along. As with most things it gets better with time. A soft reset of the phone puts it in a reboot loop. It vibrates and then displays Touch Diamond and then resets... A hard resets will complete but has the same results (reboot loop).

I can enter boot loader mode. At that point my only communication with the phone is through mtty. I have tried to flash numerous roms with the following results:

RUU starts normally and continues until presentation of progress bar. Progress bar never advances past 0%.

Without access to the phone through ActiveSync I have found no way to get a rom on the phone. The boot loader screen indicates "security unlocked". SuperCID is set to FF (obtained through mtty) and valid checksums for the currently installed image have been verified (also through mtty).
