Hello,

Firstly sorry if this has been answered before...... but i have done a fair bit of research and haven't found the answer i'm looking for.

Basically i have just bought an HTC touch phone on the sprint network and am totally pissed with the windows media player ( version 10 ) build 18125. To be blunt it sucks! I have no idea why it skips periodically. My old phone (pocket PC) ran the same app and never had the problem. I close all the "running programs" and still it skips. Around every 30 - 60 seconds there will be a skip or stutter. When i check the memory it usually runs at around 30%-40% of the total memory. Its brand new so theres nothing but factory settings on the new device.

Any advice is GREATLY appreciated. (been new to this i really appreciate help and not a grilling) ;o)

any more stable players? Any preferences over WM version 10? Any thing to do with memory?

you can try the core player or TCPMP

Thnx for the quick reply,

Do you have to uninstall the media player? Or any chance of potential conflicts? I have never messed with this phone so i have no idea.

Thnx again.

FANX MATE!

Will do just that with the core player. I only need it for music so as long as it gives me a good sound quality........... ( i hate the constant skipping on windows player )

Will let you know how it goes.

MR DASH THANK YOU

The "core media player" was totally awesome! No skips or missed beats. Was listening to a full set earlier which played flawlessly all the way through even when playing games and writing texts. Despite using most of the memory the music player worked amazing. Installed fine and no conflicts with (the shit Windows media player)

Not tried videos but will test that in due time........

THNX AGAIN.
