I have an Htc Touch Pro. Using touch flow, If I go to my peoples icon and click the + sign to add a contact, some contact pictures show up crystal clear and some don't, even if I use the same picture for a different contact. Picture "A" looks clear and sharp on contact "1" but when I use the same picture on contact "6" it shows up blurry on my picture list.
I've tried adding pictures to my contact by opening up the pic and "Save to Contact..." and I've also tried by "edit contact" and adding picture from a certain folder.
I can't see to tell what I'm doing right and wrong.
Thanks for your help

I think they have to be a crertain aspect ratio to fit or the picture gets distorted.

You would think its something like that but like I said I have used the same picture that was crystal clear on one contact and it would be kinda blurry on a diffrent contact. Oh well, guess I have to live with it... :) No biggy. I just like my stuff to look tight.
Thanks

Ok, the way I've been adding pictures to my contacts is by highlighting the contact, selecting menu, edit and in the line where is says picture: Select a Picture or change Picture and then of course path and folder destination of picture. The other way I was doing it was to open a picture file, selecting MENU and Save to Contact. :kev:

Well, when I was deleting the contacts with the fuzzy, blurry looking pictures in the “People” area, (by selecting the contact and selecting menu at the bottom and then Remove Contact) I noticed “Change Picture” at the bottom of the menu. I thought Id change the picture this way for sh!ts and giggles. The outcome, the picture selected shows up CRYSTAL CLEAR! :kev:
I hope this makes since to you cause I almost confused myself writing this :yes3:

I am having a similar problem but not exactly the same.... I am using the HTC Mogul and when I snap a picture with my phone in contact mode and assign it to a contact the pictures come up nice and clear like expected, but if i open that picture on my phone from that point on it comes up blurry ... also if i assign a picture to a contact that i got from somewhere else other than using the contact mode on the camera with the phone it comes in all blurry... any suggestions?

You sure the pic is not like that when you take it. Cause when you set it as contact the pic it gets smaller the so pic is going to look better.

I did the same thing you described with the same results on my Touch Pro. Ive covered how to fix this on the Touch Pro but since I dont have a Mogul now, I cant help you troubleshoot the problem.
Sorry

I don't know all the specifics, but using anything stock from windows mobile reduces the size and sometimes quality of the picture. It's pretty much the same thing when you use windows media player. It always shrinks the album art to about 200x200 or 250x250. You should try using Slide2View by A_C or the latest beta version of iContact Burt Edition (I think it's 7.0). Both those programs will set full screen sized pics in your contacts. Just be aware that you might end up with an error when syncing with Outlook, because it wants a smaller picture for your contacts.

100% sure because i can take a pic in contact mode, assign it and when it comes up on the screen when they call (i have icontact so it is a full screen pic) it is nice and crystal clear, then i go to the folder where it is stored and open it and view it (to show someone or something like that) and then the next time i get a call it is all blurry and distorted for that same pic.....

Also, i can take pics from a large megapixel camera store them and assign them and they are blurry when the contact calls but not on the phone when you view it....

The only time any pics show up blurry is when the contact calls, if i view the pic it is just perfect.

Maybe someone else who uses icontact on HTC mogul can try it and see if they have the same issue, take a picture in contact mode, assign it and then call from that contact, it comes up clear, go to where it is stored and view the pic, then call again and see if it comes up blurry
