Couldnt really decide where to post this since it is relevant to multiple phones, so I put it here. Its a nice lil video comparing the speed of Opera mobile and Skyfire.

Well, I like them both. Although if I HAD to choose, I would go with Skyfire. You can browse as if you were on your laptop (or desktop), it's fast, and it's easily the more flexible of the two browsers. The only thing that I've experienced Opera doing better is that the web pages come accross sharper and clearer on my phone than they do with Skyfire.

the only thing keeping me from getting rid of opera is the download reliability (it fails on me 80% of the time) and skyfire is the full flash that opera doesnt
but im really happy with opera now, i use 9.5 build 405 (older, but better, way faster and more stable than any diamond or omnia build) and i use it 95% of the time over skyfire.
its full flash vs huge downloads (movies, music albums etc.) that has me using both
