I have a Touch Pro with service from Alltel.

My battery lasts no more then 2 to 3 hours on a full charge.

Are there some adjustments that need to be made to the phone's settings to increase
battery life?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I seriously suggest you go with a custom rom but there are some reg hacks if you search around

Beam is now off.

Thank you. Will your ROM work on my Alltel phone?

Any other tweaks you can recommend?

yes the kaos rom will work on yours since he didnt add any of the bloatware... you will just need to find the alltel apps if you want them back....

I was having issues of my own where my battery barely makes it through the day with normal use. I unchecked the allow incoming beams box and now it seems like the battery is draining even faster than before. Any ideas why?

Honestly man, when you use this phone the battery is gonna have a rough time making it through the day no matter what you do. Its such a powerhouse, and it needs the juice to run. I personally got an OEM backup battery until a trusted extended life battery comes out. You can save a little battery life by doing the tweaks(most of which are included in the good custom ROMS) but you can only squeeze so much juice out of one orange:)
