Hey guys, I just got a used 8525 and love it, so I joined your forum because it seems like you guys may be the most knowledgeable about the PPC, and WM6. Oh yeah, I already upgraded it to WM6 the day I got it, I like it a lot more than WM5 for some reason. It isn't that different but I like it more. I then tried to upgrade to an iPhone skin and didn't like it. It was easy to make it go back to WM6. I liked the skin in idea though, as the larger buttons were nice, but the interface just seemed too chincy, and clearly added on.

I am now looking for another type of interface that would allow my phone to work well with my sausage fingers and yet be more integrated! can't wait to learn as much as I can from here

Oh, I am 30 and a horse trainer, who loves cars. Great forum, can't wait to get started!

What?!!?! How the hell did I just double post on a new THREAD!!! ((%*&$(*&#$*()#()@ dammit sorry guys. I apparently am an idiot.

Thanks for understanding. Oh, and if a mod could delete one of these....yeah that'd be great as I feel stupid enough now.

glad to have you here and i would recommend that you take a look at touchflo 2-d... if you look over at xda-developers you will find some custom roms with that built in :>

So far I have too much info! I am just now sorting out how to upgrade again, I have seen videos, screen shots and everything else, and now I know what my Hermes is missing. Touchflo 2d. Now I just have to decifer exactly how to get windows 6.1, and either then do the touchflo or do one with the touchflo. I haven't exactly worked out in my mind what all I have to do, I have read the install posts, and 90% of the noob posts, but my mental block is that not many of the upgrades say for the Hermes and the author suggests to only use it on the model he/she designed it for, but I notice they have many of the same constraints as I do.

I guess this is my next question, I have found the 8525 forum, and while someone will answer your question, they seem to do it begrudgingly, where is the proper forum to find out what ROM's my measly little Hermes can handle? I know it's an older model, but when I looked at all the features, for the price it was the phone for me. maybe a diamond or something like that is in my future, but not now.

Again thanks in advance.
Chris

well the reason for that is because we are mostly cdma over here for the roms..... you can come to us for all the apps since we have many that xda doesnt but go to xda-developers for the roms and all your unlockers since they are the gsm rom guys :>
