View Full Version : 6800 Freezeing when I make or recive calls and txt msg

I just got my new HTC 6800 2 weeks ago and I loved it up untill yesterday. I have no insurance on this phone so you guys are my only hope plz help me id apriceate it so much.

Heres my problem when ever I go to make a phone call it restarts while entering the number if I do enter the number when I press talk within the first 3 rings it shuts of and restarts same with text msg and it allways restarts on receving calls. It also restarts for no apparent reason and takes about 5-10 restarts before it actually starts . I noticed one time durring the restarting that on the HTC screen it said no radio down at the bottom but most the time it says the normal stuff sometimes it will also restart fast over and over and show a staticy line on the scren while the rest was normal. The weird thing is that sometimes when I do get it turned on one out of 50 times thae call will go trough fine with me answering and all same with text but this is verry rare also when I do get a few texts back and fourth in one power up by the next restart its back to only the 3 in my inbox when problems started and the new ones dont show. I have never changed the rom and its to the newest one the 3.35 I have only installed a few programs like wisbar and a theme and it ran fine for the past 2 weeks no problems till yesterday. I have also tried clearing the memory from settings and hard resets.


I hope I have provided enough information for you to maybe point me in the right direction to fix this thank you all for your time.

does the screen kinda freak out and high lite everything on the screen also?

No I have not had any similar issues why whats ur idea pls post it im open to any sugestions as I do not have a phone to use at all right now. I have got the phone to turn on and stay on for almost an hour now and I sent a txt never got a reply but lol and I havent been useing it just have it on charger on device info screen. plz the fact that it will stay on gives me hope I can also sync it so any ideas? thank you for ur time.

well when my wifes mogul started freaking out a hard reset fixed the problem

i was thinking the same thing.... if a had reset and or the stock rom doesnt fi the troubles than it is a problem with the phones hardware.

if you're with sprint and its been less than 30 days you can take the phone back...since it seems to be a hardware issue, you could probably take it back and let them know that it is a faulty phone and see what they can do for you

Yeah an also thought they had discontinued the Mogul , but if you paid the price for that i would just ask about getting a Touch Pro if your still with in your 30 days

Ahhh thanks guys well I got mine off ebay used so I don't think im eligible for that. however I got it to work long enough to call and add insurance on the phone and they let me catch is it dosent kick in for 30 days so in 14 days I get to go to sprint and get a PRO hopefully. So how dose it work when I go to get the phone? Will I be able to walk in and walk out with a PRO if thats whats on the list for replacement? I talked to them the other day and they said they have to like check my phone out for like water damage and stuff do they do that in store? Or do I have to wait for them to ship it to be checked out then ship me a new phone? I have been without a phone this whole time and I am getting verry anxious.

you could do online and pay 55 for a pro and exchange your mogul or wait and do it online if it is still running and get it for free when you have the insurance.... your call there... we have a thread here with links on how to do it online at sprints site.

yuppers i just did it for 2 different people at work and they got their moguls replaced with pros for free :>

My parents wouldn't give me the necessary info to do it online they said its the same if you just go in the store and do it. Im going to pick up my new mogul today:tearyeyed:....... I argued and fought and complained about problems with my mogul to try and get a pro but they wouldn't upgrade me so I guess im getting a POS mogul again. I talked to the people in the store about this online thing and they said it is the same as going in store if the insurance ppl have moguls you get a mogul if not you get a pro. Now I have to figure out all the software crap on my mogul again to get it set up the way I want.........

Ok one more question this phone seems to have a feature my old one didn't the TXT msg display in a log kinda like I phone also there is no message sent notification rom version is 3.56.651.0 but it as stock rom Im scared to flash a new rom cus my last experience with a stock one and when it worked It wasn't slow I just use wisbar with its stock theme and iphone dialer and Icontact
