it will work... just remove your memory card when you hard reset, to be sure it doesnt erase your contacts...

also, why dont you just use active sync?

The app that he posted Pim works great once you back up it automatically saves to your storage card dont ever have to worry.

i would bro, but for some reason now that i reset my laptop back to factory settings, it wont synk my contacts. it says my phone is synked but i dont see my contacts. before i had outlook, and when i open outlook my contacts where there, but now that reset my laptop i guess there is a newer version and my laptop pick that up automatically, and this newer version wont import my contacts from my phone. but i'll try it this way and see what happens.

Hmm if Active sync says your synced up, maybe during ur laptops restoration your active sync settings were change... try re-establing a brand lew relationship b/w ur wm device and ur laptop; and make sure contacts is selected to be synced

they are bro. when i go to synk center my contacts are checked for them to synk. i've tried it several times. the reason i found out is because before if i added a new contact, upon synking my phone it used to detect that and it would tell me something was different and it gave me the option to update, but now it doesnt, thats how i realized it wasnt saving my contacts.

just copy pim.vol off of device and paste it to your memory card. after a hard reset go into your memory card, copy pim.vol and put back on device. you'll have to rename the pim.vol on device with the least amount if k's because its empty anyways( i use sht ) the one with 500-600k has your contacts on it. i've done it twice in my mogul and it takes a lil messn anound, but it works.
