yeah this is some bull...I just heard about this to just a few hours ago...but I heard he was in critical condition in hospital, I did not know he had died...damn...the loss of any life makes me upset, even one of someone like a police officer who puts their lives on the line everyday and what makes me even more mad is the neighborhood that he was in leaves me to believe that the assailant might be someone of my own race....why must we continue to further stereotypes and keep ourselves down????????????????????????????

Yeah my condolescences to his family...I heard about it more on the news about the 2 cabbies having a fight and it turning out so bad so quick...what the hell was up wit the POS cabbie...was he high on something! When the cops were called they should have been warned that somebody was mouthing off they would shot any cops that came down...this might have went down differently!!!!

The call just came out as a person with a weapon and a fight on the highway. 2 minutes later there were screams of shots fired and officer down over the radio. I was only 2 block away, so I got there right at the end of the fire fight. It was a mess. And the guy was a ****ing maniac.

man I'm sorry to hear this...to me people who do this kind or shit, whether they kill a police officer or just a person walking down the street, give up any right they have to live and should be put to death. Thats some bullshit and it just makes me sick that there are people in this world that think that they have the right to go around just taking lives for no reason....sorry for the rant but as someone who is trying to become a police officer these kind of people and situations really get me fired up. My condolences to the family and anyone who knew the officer.

my prayers go out to the family. back in 04 was i was on the job I lost 2 of my good friends at the same precinct where I worked and it was very difficult, the POS that killed them i heard was living like a king in jail. in my 10 years with detroit i never understood what would possess someone to take a life of someone who protects them.....to all you guys and gals still on the job out there be careful and my prayers are with you also........

First and foremost, my prayers go out to this officers family and friends. These incidents have been getting out of hand as the months have gone by. It sickens me to think that people have such a disregard for life that their first thought would be to start shooting. Furthermore, it makes me furious to know that these are the same people who would call the police if they were in dire need. Harsh gun laws...yes....enforce them to the highest degree...most definitely!! I am tired of hearing about a shooting...*edit* multiple shootings on a daily basis.

Thanks to everyone for your kind words. It really helps out at times like this. And there will be a fund set up for his wife and unborn child. I will post up the information for anyone that is interested when I receive the details. Again, thanks everyone.

In my english class, my teacher told us about this (atleast i believe its him) and how he went to the cops wedding because he is friends with the cops dad... Sadly he has been married for only 5 month and his wife is 3 month pregnant.... And also he said a drug dealer shot him 3 times one in the vest and twice on the side with a magnum (i think it was), and he was only 25...
Its a shame, why must a young newly wed to be father be shot...
