DVDShrink will also burn your backup DVD, if you have installed the latest version of Nero. You can also download a demo version of Nero here. If you already possess alternative burning software and prefer to stick with it, then you can still use DVD Shrink. The output from DVDShrink can be saved as files on your hard drive, which you can then burn with software of your choice.

DVDShrink is free software. You should never pay for DVDShrink.

Yeah I been using this app since like 2003...back then the company used to always release newer versions...but the reason it does not work with all new dvds is because of the fact that company has not released an update for this program since 2005, I believe...but it works for most new dvds, I have only run into a few it does not encode...so thats why I have a copy of DVD FAB Platinum on my pc which takes care of decoding those handful of movies...and those programs in conjunction with NERO is definitely "what it do." But I posted this up because the member "daredlight," hit me up on palringo saying he wanted to know how to convert dvds with different region settings to America's region setting. So after I explained that to him, I told him that I would upload this program which would do the job for him.
