BOLT is a free downloadable browser that offers an uncompromised browsing experience on even lower-end mobile phones.
Rather than offering a simplified, mini version of the Internet, BOLT provides users with a fast, efficient, feature-rich way to enjoy full PC-style web pages and rich media applications on all levels of mobile devices.
Built on Bitstream's ThunderHawk browsing technology, BOLT is the result of 5+ years experience developing mobile browsers that optimize usability, speed and performance on resource-constrained systems with limited memory, processing power and screen space

UNCOMPROMISED MOBILE BROWSING
Full PC-style browsing on all types of mobile phones

Web content is never reformatted, repurposed or removed.
Start experiencing lightning fast Internet browsing
with streaming video on your mobile phone.

LIGHTNING FAST
Loads pages faster than competing mobile browsers
Patented navigation and display technologies get you where you’re going faster

SUPER EFFICIENT
23:1 over the air data reduction speeds delivery of pages to your phone .
Consumes 1/3 of the battery power of other mobile browsers

Please note that each mobile device implements a set of security policies that determine if an application is allowed to run.
As a security measure, some devices require downloaded applications to be signed with an appropriate certificate to be allowed to run.
BOLT is signed with third-party certificates from VeriSign and Thawte.
These signatures enable the device OS to confirm BOLT's authenticity, provide access to secure device APIs, and help ensure that BOLT is free from malware and/or viruses. \
Signed applications enable you to use BOLT with fewer permission dialogs for file and network access from your device's OS.
For regular devices we recommend you install the dual signed version first, followed by VeriSign then Thawte signed.

If you have any trouble installing any of these three versions, install the unsigned version:

You must have Java installed & connected to the internet to able to install JAR files. For more information click here *

Its ok it took awhile to load but faster than IE it reminds me of the IRIS Browser meaning it could be fine connected to wifi but on the sprint network its nowhere close to Skyfire or Opera.

I've had it for a week or two now and really haven't had the chance to run it through the ringer. It seems pretty clean and has some potential. I still think Opera Mini is better, but it's had time and experience to stay ahead of a 1st release. If I get the time to do a better comparison, I'll post more then. Later.

Quick Note: I will say with VGA phone, small fonts and setup will make it difficult to navigate.

This is actually set more for your non-PDA/MIDP phones. I think it's actually pretty neat that you can take a Razr for example and stream YouTube through the browser. They just made it available to other phones, but still Java based. As for us Junkies, it's probably not going to be the browser of choice ;)
