I use a seagate Extreme Freeagent. 1.5tbOne of the few manufacturers to offer a 5yr warranty. Ends this yr fyi. going back to 3 yr.. but all bought under 5 will be 5 yr warranty. Well worth it.
I love mine have 200 movies. over 100gb of music.pc backup programs. Still have like 87% left

well with the ones that plug into the wall you can keep it running when the computer is off and even leave the usb in if you want......... they have fans in them and also go into hibernate mode...

If you have a old PC laying around, try Windows Home Server. Free trial download from Microsoft (plenty of cracks out there). I've had mine for over a year. I use it faithfully. My fam and friends use it to access over 5TB of music, videos, photos and software.

yes i have 2 but i might do a fit 2 pc or an ebox pc.

they only use like 5-10 watts of power and this way i can leave my magic jack on all the time. I tried the vonage and it sucked, magic jack is pretty cool. Only 20 bucks a year :yahoo:
