how to crack software

Hey I download card recovery on my computer and it has a crack with it..littledaisy gave me the link to get the full version for free she said it has a crack in it..but im unaware on how to use a crack she said something about changing the original exe file to the crack.exe file I am unsure what any of that is. Can anyone explain to me how to use a crack a little better please?
