are you using TF3D or titanium? and do you want the message to stay on the screen? the latest NRG rom has this feature turned on by default and you have to turn it off.

I want it on by default, although I have manually checked it on some roms it still manages to uncheck itself after soft resets.

I was saying that the "Display Msg On Screen" option under "Sounds and Notifications- New Text Msg" does not always work for me. By default I noticed a few roms the box wasnt checked so I would checked it. Then, it would work the rest of that day, but after a soft reset it would be gone again? Is that due to the fact that the soft rest boots your device back to default settings? I took the advice of PsychoTK (thanks) and installed NRG's rom and it was checked by default!!

no the only way to wipe your device to default is by hard resetting...... and what are you trying to do with this box... you arent being specific... what does this box do? does it make it so the text message box pops up on screen like it did default forever with wm or what?

i think thats what he wants. if you check the box it will display a popup of the new text. personally i don't like to check to box when i'm running manilia since i have to click extra buttons. but i found it usefull with running titatinum.

yea i do that myself also...... makes it easier than having to scroll down to the text tab and than open and than choose the message... with enabled all i need to do is hit reply.....
