Does the amount of apps and games installed to your phone effect your battery? I have alot of both, and i install all of them to my storage card. i would assume that as long as your not running the programs it shouldnt eat at the battery. Am i wrong about this?

i believe that when apps and games are installed to the storage card the phone has to work alittle harder to get to them which would affect battery life, then the other issue would be if u have any of them running in the background which would also affect battery life...with the pro i got all installed to main memory but i have scaled back how many i put on.......i hope this helps...

and also i figured if you install programs on the device it pushes the program memory higher which makes your phone go slower

and still on the topic of battey draining, not to be a nuisence, how about stored call history and text messages, if you dont delete them can they effect the battery since they take up storage?

Actually I believe that installing to your device saves you battery life because when programs are installed to the storage card it takes longer to get to them, thus drains more battery. I could be wrong but this is what I follow and I get pretty good battery life.

i know having alot of text maessages and a big call history can slow things done, which in turn would make the phone work harder...every time i flash (which is frequent) i clear those out and i dont back those up with pim.....

I have also heard that it dosent hurt to install text message programs to the storage card just to keep logs there.

ok, when the phone boots up initially what happens is that it will read the internal memory first and than the card. you can install games to the card but all apps i would recommend to be installed to the main memory unless instructed otherwise. if you have an app and its needed on bootup you will prolly face errors and annoying popups left and right and the app may not even open, so as a rule of thumb jsut games on the card. as for the battery life having more jsut slows you down and wont effect the battery life, the main things that effects battery life is having the apps running in the background and not using a task manager to close them, your radio will also effect the battery life, as well as your signal strength in your area, on top of that roaming and anything under 3 bars will continuously search for better signal causing battery drain thus the reason to try different radios and flash them to your phone.
