Ok, so I've got an interesting scenario with the travel I'm doing, running NSFFans 112 version at the moment. Basically, I'm flying Memphis to D.C. every week for work. When I leave Memphis, shut down phone on plane, then power up in D.C. the clock updates correctly and gets set to Eastern Time Zone. However, when I come home, turn off phone in D.C. and power up in Memphis, the clock and time zone do not reset. I have to manually switch it back to Central Time. Is the Memphis network somehow not setting the time/zone, or is this possibly related to the 1 hour time shift bug that was cropping up with 6.5 for a while.

NFSFan's version 112 with SPB MS3 on it. Honestly, it really looks more like something with the network in Memphis not updating, but I can't confirm it one way or the other. One thing I noticed is that when I manually change the time zone back to central, it doesn't seem to update my calendar appointments accordingly.
Edit: Actually, to make it more puzzling, I just rebooted after setting to Central and when it came back up, the calendar appointments had adjusted. They just didn't do so when I first changed the zone.

Sound like it might be something with the rom or a bad flash. Try flashing a again see if it fixes the problem for you.

Will probably be flashing this weekend, but it was also happening on v08 of the rom (flashed to 112 last weekend), so I don't think it's the flash.

Well, I flashed over the weekend just to be sure. Time and time zone adjusted when I landed in D.C. Sunday. Gonna wait and see what happens when I hit Memphis again Thursday. If not, that would narrow it down to 2 possibilities. 1) There's a problem with Memphis network that's not setting time. 2) For some reason when going westward in time zones, the time/zone update doesn't take.

No joy back in Memphis. So basically, two different versions of NSFFan's 6.5 rom, plus an extra flash in between for good measure. While I suppose there's a chance it's something in the rom, I'm thinking it's the local towers and time setting. Maybe D.C. is set to pass time zone as well and Memphis is not, so when I get back to Memphis, the time sets, but the time zone doesn't.
Guess I'll try a quick email to Sprint and see if that goes anywhere.

go to start/settings/personal/phone and look through there, inside there on one of the tabs on the bottom you will find an option that will have it auto do that and such... make sure all that check out and save it than try again.
