i still use the HTC Mogul and I still really like it. The keyboard makes the difference for me. I just discovered that there is a speech to text product out there from Nuance called RealSpeak Mobile. After talking with them, it's not available for individual sale or download. It is available on the HTC Ozone which is on the Verizon network.
Questions...should I switch carriers to get the phone for the product? Does anyone know how to get that software?

if its carrier specific your most likely not going to see it.... and you said it was on the ozone aka the snap..... would you really wanna switch to just a basic smartphone without a touch screen, less security, and much more just so you can say a text message? at that rate you might as well go to android you has the same.

Thank you for your response, kind sir. My carrier right now is Qwest and they are discontinuing cell phone service as of Oct. 31. I'm thinking of switching to IWireless, a T-Mobile affiliate, but i don't wanna purchase a new phone. Will I be able to use my Mogul on their network? Just flash the ROM?

no t-mobile and t-mobile owned carriers are gsm.... you will need a sim card... your mogul through qwest is cdma and doesnt have a sim card slot so it wouldnt be possible..... if you go gsm you will have to get a new device..... you can always go with t-mobile and right now 99 bucks for an android device and you can get around 50 for the mogul or so.

One last question and then I'll kill the thread to save space. Is the HTC Touch Pro 2 the closest phone to the Mogul?

not really the touch pro came out after the mogul and than the touch pro 2 that was just released came after the touch pro....... they are just the evolved forms of eachother thuis why the mogul is known as the 6800, touch pro as the 6850, and the touch pro 2 is the 6875
