Well i have windows vista on my laptop but lately i feel like its really slowing down 1 of the reason i think is mcafee when ever i go on the laptop it always seems like its updating something or it feels like theirs a daily virus scan that comes up and that always slow my lappy down is there something better then mcafee or what might be the reason of the slowing down

hahaha take that thing off and get AVG, fix the registry and DL speed my PC from here ... and you will be good with a quick lappy ....

and being that all that you will be getting for free, why not spend some money to max out your ram!! you'll spend no more than $40 and it will make your lappy run faster :)

I have also one windows seven with the avg and works fine sofar.
I have 1 on dual boot with vista with mcfee i s and windows seven with nod buissines 3 with fix.
This is for 2 laptops,to my notice nod still the best.
For better security ,kaspersky.

Yes i dont like mcefee either but it was a free license that was with the laptop so i tried it out.
Works fine with all the tweaks,before the tweeks it was bit slower.
Norton i dont like,most ones u cant uninstall normaly.
I tried out avast because u posted it and i wanted to gove it a try and it works great.
Doesnt slow it down.

i personally use avast pro on my windows 7 ultimate 64bit!!
i had and used to play around with norton and mccafe but after experiencing
lags and having files all over my pc lol i came to find out that hey may be good
and well know internet security but they are a file hogger!
but hey this is just me !!!
maybe someone actually does have good experience with norton or mccafe but if you wish to try avast pro its here some were in out forums lol
or hey even try AVG!!

I myself use AVG found here at Wckediden bro Weesjie told me about it and man this sofware is neat bro ,im always secured with this thing

I am sorry but avast is crap. I call it like i sees it.....So is zone alarm...crap.....panda is good. nod32 is the shit. Especially security suite. Very controllable. especially inbound and outbound.. I keep nero from calling home with it...lol keeps it active for ever.....plus all and all its flawless if you know what your doing....

plus 1 on that i used pretty much every secured software out there thanks to Wckediden, gotta say nod32 is the on i recommend just my take fast to update and no hogger at all..thnxs

i use Rising Antivirus, I have found that it catches a lot of what macaffe and norton miss and I think it works just as well as avg and avast. Thats just my opinion and I'm running Vista ultimate on my laptop, never had a virus since I got rid of the Macaffee trial that came with my comp

I also use Avast and in my personal view it is the best I have ever used.
