the main question still rests on how the owner treats it, do they using a cooling usb fan? do they leave the vents against floor or a blanket not allowing the heat to exit? is it cleaned regularly of the dust? all these will make a difference. i get more use out of my laptop between the site, work, and school than most see in a lifetime on a single notebook and i do that in a year. dont get me wrong its not all on how the unit was treated since there are just faulty parts or jars that can cause troubles with laptops... the jarring when placing down or hitting the laptop bag into something has to coontribute to the laptops being replaced so often as well since things do get knicked up in transport.
