Those who pre-ordered the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro (https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-buds-3-pro/) have started receiving them in some countries. While people seem to be really happy with their audio (https://www.reddit.com/r/galaxybuds/comments/1e4juv1/6_day_review_of_the_galaxy_buds_pro_3/) and voice call quality, there is one problem that some users are facing, and you need to be careful about it. The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro ear tips seem very delicate (https://www.reddit.com/r/samsung/comments/1e5lh99/samsung_galaxy_buds_3_pro_eartips_very_hard_to/).

Some early Galaxy Buds 3 Pro users are reporting (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUSucTXLrP0) that the stock ear tips of Samsung's newest flagship earbuds are pretty fragile (https://www.reddit.com/r/galaxybuds/comments/1e4o3av/how_are_you_supposed_to_remove_the_tips/) and can tear easily (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFN4qCiQCK0) if you are not careful. Besides the new steam design, Samsung also adopted an AirPods Pro-like mechanism for the ear tips. The silicon ear tip blends with a custom plastic ring, which is mounted onto the earbud's housing.

When some people tried removing the ear tips (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ekf9pqp3zlk) from the earbuds, the silicon part ripped away (https://www.reddit.com/r/galaxybuds/comments/1e5rdew/buds_3_pro_defect_day_one/) while the plastic ring remained on the earbud housing.

Samsung bundles three pairs of ear tips with the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro: Large, Medium, and Small. While most people will likely never change their ear tips, they may try different-sized ear tips when they first start using the earbuds. So, if you have already received your Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, make sure to be gentle while removing the ear tips.

The issue might not be widespread, but it is too early to say. Samsung has yet to issue a clarification on this problem, but the company's webpage for the South Korean market warns users about the possibility of ear tips getting damaged. It says “Do not press hard or twist the eartips. Doing so may damage the ear tips.”

Only time will tell whether Samsung's new earbuds have a design flaw or the company has used cheap materials. While replacement ear tips should be easily available in case you damage the stock ones while removing them, it is better to take extra care and proceed with caution. Third-party brands (like Comply) might soon release Galaxy Buds 3 Pro replacement ear tips.
