The vast majority of polled Android Authority readers don’t want to pay for a wallpaper app.
However, a small number of respondents are open to a one-time payment.

Tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee (known as MKBHD) released a wallpaper app (https://www.androidauthority.com/mkbhd-to-fix-wallpaper-app-3484751/) last week, and it received a negative reception due to its $12/month subscription (or $50 a year). This fee gives you access to a variety of high-quality wallpapers (https://www.androidauthority.com/android-wallpapers-662790/), although there’s also an ad-supported free tier that dishes out lower-quality versions of these wallpapers.

We asked readers on our website and viewers on our YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgyqtNWZmIxTx3b6OxTSALw/community?lb=Ugkx2JrZmz9a6hWyhfmPk26AwMcxTZux56M6) how much they were willing to spend on a wallpaper app. It turns out the vast majority of you really don’t want to pay for a wallpaper app in the first place.
