the new mighty rom has 3.5 installed already....its built in the rom......do u mean u cant get 2.0 installed.....because u stated live search is askin for 2.0...please clarify that so we can help u out.

I had posted earlier that I installed 2.0 and could not 3.5. the reason i tried to install 3.5 is because net config only shows 2.0 installed only, so I figured I had to install 3.5 as well. someone suggested that I run live search and it would ask for me to install 3.5 and then that would help with problem I was having. It didn't. It asked me to install 2.0 instead.

well if 2.0 is installed pic mail should work if not follow the other steps to reprovision in the post the ##3282# restore then profile update...also you do have pic mail on your account right..you can log in at correct?

yes i do have a picture mail acct. I was using smms before this. If i install 2.0, don't i also have to use that net config program too. when i open it, it only shows 2.0 and when i try to assign picmail it doesnt even show up.

ive said it once and ill say it again you have to manually assign it..type it in the pic in first post shows what to enter...and if you have only 2.0 installed and only 2.0..then you don't need this fix. re provision..or call sprint...to have them fix it...this fix is for people who have both version installed..sprint pic mail requires and runs on 2.0 if thats all you have and it doesn't work call them...or re provision like i said...

there is another msl generator here called baf msl grabber. or you can just call sprint and ask for it.

on step 3 of the net config. were it says override device policy for app. (window/picturemail.exe)---i dont have that as an option to select. I have installed all cabs that are supposed to be installed. anyone know what i may have/not done or be missing?

have you tried a soft reset to see if that clears the troubles up for you? its always a good idea to soft reset after installation of a new program.

2.Go to Start/settings/update profile. soft reset. (for this last part i cant find udate profile in settings, and thanks for the help on my last question but i missed it in the instructions you have to type picturemail into the box it will not just show up)

If you're running a custom ROM, this prob will not be in your settings. Look at the last link in the post. Says something about a PRL cab. Download it, install it, soft-reset and update profile will be in your settings.

I did exactly what is posted and and works,im on sprint stock rom ,the only problem is i cant recive but i can send which is ok

That's strange. One should go with the other cause the information basically goes through the same picmail account. When I was on stock, I actually had no problems with picmail for some reason. Anyway, I would recommend doing all of the steps again. I had to do it a couple of times before I got it working, so I must of messed up somewhere in there. Anyway, I wold try just gong through the steps again because it should all work.

Hmm Strange when i go to run .net 2.0i get a message on my phone that says it was unable to install. i am running Might Rom 4.14 now..this worked on 4.13 maybe it has something to do with 4.14. If anyone knows of anything holler at me. Thanks in advance!

Sweet - Thanks for the heads up and fix for this. I have been soooooo frustrated with Sprint and their lack of knowledge and support for this issue since I made the switch to Sprint from Verizon. I NEVER had any issues with picture mail with Verizon. So far this seems to have done the trick. Thank You , Thank You, Thank You!

When I go into there it says I need an unlock code, where do i get that from, is it through sprint. Can i just call them and ask for it. I'm using a htc touch from sprint.

use the mrl grabber.... thats the code you need.

Will using the mrl grabber or dling the netcf 2.0 do anything to my phone that could possible ruin it im not use to messing with my mrl and # numbers lol?

If i don't have a unlimited power vision plan and have the the everything messaging plan (suppose to have free pic mail) will i get feed to death if i use it? Also i Keep getting the g66 error should i use EVDO cause right now im usin wifi? And will i get extra charges if i use EVDO for the config?

yuppers isnce you are still going through the phone on it they can charge you for the amount of kb usage that you used while on wifi

no pic mail costs extra if you dont have a pic mail unlimited added to your plan.... you still have to use data to get em though.

not really since all the pics being sent have to be hosted on a server which is what you are paying for with the unlimited sms plan....... the data is to retrieve the pics off of the server..... without data there wouldnt be a picture mail service ever created.

just go to your dial pad an type that code in..
prop ur mrl code. go to your right hand corner restore .. soft reset on its on then continue with next step

it's really a b@tch that i have to rely on the great minds of Wckediden to get my picturemail to work on a $400 phone (or whatever the list $ is) but i'm really glad i'm getting to know you all!

Has anyone got this working on the sprint touch 6900. I followed the instruction, but when I go to send picture mail, it say not support on this platform. Should do a hard reset and redo, or would a soft reset and redo all the instruction again until i get it to work do the trick.

you did something wrong than cause it will work on the touch....... you can also go after the updated sprint arcsoft cab file and install that... works great for me and dont have to go through any of this...
