you can install it again with the cab but doesnt come on the rom...... waste of space if you ask me... i never even used mine.

hey kaos - was wondering if you can help me out.. i'm currently running your other rom, **** sprint.. i already downloaded the .nbh file for sprint and placed the file on the folder with the RUU.. when i run the RUU.exe, i'm always losing connection with activsync. error coded 262.. i recall having this problem as well when installing your custom rom from stock but after a few tries, it worked eventually.

i've been trying to install this rom since last night and haven't gotten far. please help.. am i doing something wrong?

when running the RUU, i always get disconnected when the screen turns red green and blue and the next screen on my phone is 0% and it's stuck there and i get a 262 message on my laptop.. please help me out..

my phone should already be unlocked right since i already went from stock to a custom kaos f sprint ROM.. from what i read, once you unlock, you don't need to unlock anymore. is this true?

the error takes me to a recovery window with 4 steps:
1. unplug the usb
2. pull out battery and wait 3 seconds.
3. start the phone
4. sync again..

once i do everything, it still loads the old ROM cuz i could never pass 0% when updating the ROM.

hope you don't mind that i also posted on the other thread cuz i'm about to give up with this process and try the other route, putting the nbh file to the storage card but i don't know how to format to fat32. my laptop doesn't have a sd reader..

i'll try either way, doesn't matter to me..

Here are the apps installed in my device: Garmin XT, Opera 9, PdaNet, Googlemaps, Mobi TV/XM Radio, i-nigma, SKTools, Swcked Backup, Mobile Shell, Microsoft Live Search, SkyFire... Anyone have any idea why the data connection stays on constantly? I turned it off manually at the comm manager, and it goes off...but for example i update the weather, the data connection arrows come on and stay on...

ya weather on auto update garmin as well....could be sprint email. could be email. but this isn't a rom issue so stop crapping my thread .

appreciate your input...been using this rom for a while and is by far the most stable...loaded 20+ apps and still running smooth at 35 to 45% ram

but, this ROM is da S#T!!!!! super fast, smooth, and fits all my needs!!!

htc youtube works perfectlly (biggest accomplishment in the PPC world right now all thanx to this bad boy :brows: ) opera flash, gps locks great, everything

I love the ROM thus far, one question, I see a few of you guys saying that opera8 runs flash great, but my ROM doesn't have it. Am i missing something? (sprint version)

you have to download and install yourself. search for opera browser or just opera. get the opera mobile 9.5

hey guys not sure if anyone has run into this but i am stuck at the unlocker screen when trying to update to your rom kaos. using cokeman 2.31. i had djharveys rom earlier so i decided to try yours. it doesnt give me a 1005 code or anything just stuck at that screen hard reseting or soft reseting wont fix it. do i have to do it by the sdcard way. im doing it by usb right now. does it mean anything when i run the ruu, it shows a picture of the mogul instead of the touch. i know im downloading the correct .nbh file. thanks in advance.

i had another question. the last couple of roms that i have tried. the battery seems weird. it would be like at 18% and then all of a sudden its at 51% or it would stay like at 100% all day. thanks in advance.

Damn, I'm having a problem. After flashing and everything, I followed all the steps in the tutorial, it loas up but doesn't go further than the HTC SMART MOBILITY screen. I've tried hard resetting, everything, and I've tried looking all over and can't figure out whats wrong. This is the first time I've ever installed anything like this, so theres a good chance I'm doing something wrong.

I read somewhere to try reflashing it but to do that requires activesync, the romupdateutility won't connect without it, I get the error[260] connection.

your missing the radio... look in the first or second post and you will find the radio that you need to flash toyour phone..... you will have to do it via sd card 2 gigs or under and have the card formatted to fat32.

I'm confused as to what the radio is, which makes me feel stupid, but this is the first time I've ever done this. I formated my 1GB card to fat32, and put the RUU_signed.nbh file on it, and when I load into bootloader nothing happens, I see the RGB bars and it just says serial at the bottom.

Another update. I got it to work over usb, and it installed, what I thought was fine, than it gave me some error, and had to do a recovery. So I had to redo it, and now when it loads up instead of the red numbers and stuff that used to be there it says No Radio, even though I just installed it.

Ahahah yah it took awhile but I love it now. I have the 2dtouchflow on it and it's running SO much faster than it did on stock. Only problem is now windows mobile has an ugly green theme that doesn't blend with 2Dtouchflow at all and I can't figure out how to change theme color..

I'm loving the rom. Just the gestures you got in there are driving me CRAZY. Everytime I try to goto the next page or something, internet explorer opens.

Not sure if you fixed this yet though but that has to do with TouchFlo.

Go to Settings/Personal/TouchFloConfig and then just delete the path for any given gesture and when you preform that gesture, nothing will happen.

Just wanted to say that I've been very apprehensive about flashing my touch. This rom looked really interesting so I figured I would bite the bullet and try it.

Not only was I impressed with the rom, but also with how easy the actual flash went.

I read everything 4 and 5 times before starting and it all went off without a hitch.

I've got one issue with my roaming indicator flashing, but that's probably an Alltel issue. I did an over the air upgrade of the roaming and still no go. But I'll work on that one.

I think I'm hooked. :D

I'm loving this rom! I got the flashing roam indicator fixed. And I have finally figured out what all the rage is over threaded sms. It's so much nicer being able to keep up with a conversation just like IM.

The only problem I have now is I still can't get GPS working. I've upgraded my radio to 3.37.15. I already had 3.37.10. That didn't work so I upgraded to 3.42.30 and still can't get it to work.

This rom list GPS among the things included. But I tried several of the other drivers to try to get gps working. I finally gave up and hard reset back to the base kaos rom.

I'm still loving it! I just wish I could get the gps working. But I've been trying to get that going ever since I bought the phone. I am about convinced that the Alltel Touches just don't support it.

I've been trying forever to get this to work. Google Maps and Tom Tom would both act like they were getting data, but would never lock on any satellites. I finally came across a post suggesting using HTC GPS Tool. I downloaded it and since it doesn't time out and cease looking, it finally locked onto 3 satellites. Now Google Maps finds the satellites. I haven't tried TomTom yet.
