i installed the keyboard speed hack cab ...

but when i looked in registry after cab install i do not see the same values that u have placed in the text file:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Keybd

"InitialDelay"=dword: dec 125 (default value = 375)

"RepeatRate"=dword: dec 2 (default value - 8 )


InitialDelay: i see 775
repeast Rate: i see 23

the above are the values i see after cab install.. should it be what is in red above that u stated in the text or the values i currently see

your right the text says what in your registry.....i dont know what happend....
i made about 3 different ones with different settings, and havent posted them yet, again like alot of tweaks not all work for every rom and they can very....here is the the settings as posted in the txt. file.....did the lagg fix work on those setting though???

yes it seemed to speed up things.. the best way to test ... is to type real fast on the keyboard and see if the screen keeps up with your letter inputs .. correct?

all the values from initial CAB are so much higher then what the defaults were.. wouldn't u think it would cause even more lag... ?

i dont have a pro and i had someone test it on a custom rom and it sped things up on his part.....but like i said it really varies between roms....i have two other settings for this hack and will post em up....but the other one i just posted is a lot lower than the default value...try it out and let me know....

just typing real quick on keyboard and make sure the screen is data filling in real time.. not lagging behind?

ya thats probably the most effective way to test......i posted a new cab with lower values.....i will have two others up later with even lower values.....but the new one i posted is what the values are in the txt file.....

Nice!!! lol....add the new one and put it in the same rar as the original post....but on the origianl cab txt just change the values to what itouch24 posted....i have 3 different cabs for this hack and i must have put the wrong one up....i pm'd dash so he might get to it first....lol

Ok new one added. The one up there originaly had the value at like 775. this one is the 125 one.

Wckediden Internet Hack-Allow full browser view even in mobile view sites.
This video recording hack gives your two new types of video size and increases the data rate... This will allow you to get better video with motion injpeg at the cif resolution...

that sounds like a software/hardware problem.....id try i hard reset and if it still does it then you got yourself a problem.....i use this cab and it is fast as heck......

What were the original settings in the registry for the Capt size and Cam Support that were changed? I ll go back to them first before I do hard reset... Thanks for the help bro....

Hey T... cant thank you enough for this man... this is some really good ish...
I really appreciate the text files included so that we can go in and do the edits ourselves, or make our own lil tweaks and adjustment... its been helpin me get more familiar and comfortable with the registry, and just developing my baic understanding of it... currently in the process of cleanin up my storage card to optimize space and effiecency, started a whole new flder of just hacks and cabs and reg edits, and im tryna get all your text files together in one also... if you want, when im done, i can shoot them to you to post up for those who just what the registry setting so they wont have to bother w/ download full cab and such... only pro is it wont be all of them, as Ive only downloaded the ones I want... either way, let me know and Ill shoot it to you when done with this project...

on a side note, whats with that opera cab...LMAO
what ppl dont know how to hit exit on opera, or X in task manager, or any of the other way to close a program...lol... and come on... who doesnt know how to at least set Wckediden as a bookmark if not a home page... thats really basic stuff right thurr...

i dont know....depends....im on juggs custom rom and his original setting would be different then stock rom....if stock is what your on.....i would suggest just hard resetin....your best bet.....

well i thought about puttin up just the reg entries to....but that would really crap the original post and such......and its good to have the cabs layin around just in case.....but if people just want the reg entrie they can ask and ill post it in a post......

lol...and for opera...well on my rom it doesnt do a real exit even hitting exit on opera and doesnt show on the task menu....the only way to get it from running programs is a soft reset for some reason....found that out the other day.....i used opera for ten minutes closed it, and 1 1/2 later my battery drianed over 30%.....so with this is actually closes....im sure most diamond roms are like this...but idk....its usefull...lol

not overthinking. I didn't dl the first cab. I tweaked the registry myself to the suggested settings but didn't work and dl'ed cab to fix. just looking for original settings before I hard reset

its a cab i found here. it just makes a short cut to turn on an off wifi instead of having to go through the settings/connection.....u can map it to any buttons, hard or soft. and i should update thread with this and two other cabs....will do it tonight.

well like i said in the OP....it is goin to vary between roms and other things installed.....so there really isnt a "BEST".....im on juggs rom and i use the PollInterval set at 1250.....battery lasts all day with moderate use....and i roam for most of the day.so again it really depends on roms.....what rom are u running?

well id start off using the pollinterval of 20000 since your on stock....TL using very minimal battery cunsumption as far as i know....but to get the maximum battery life and performace i highly reccomend flashin to a custom rom. juggolo_x tp rom......

just be sure to unlock your phone prior to flashing....and after flash pull battery out for 1 minute and hard reset after. good luck and your on the right path to becoming a true junkie!!!

use PIMbackup....you can save it to your sd card and then put em all back on the new rom like it never went away....use the search and you'll find it....it backs up contacts,call logs,messages,and emails.

For anyone who had the same issue - HKLM/Software/HTC/Camera/P3/MainCamCaptSize setting was 64 and MainCamSupportCaptSize was 80
