format the card to fat32 and than rename the radio file correctly and flash from the card...... use a backup card liek the stocker because everything will be lost on the card.

I uploaded this Rom but for some reason i cant get HTC home to work on my XV6900 when i go to settings it lockes up and when i soft reset it as soon as everything loads it Lockes up again had to reflash to get it back is HTC home just not work with this ROM?

anyone have an unbiased opinion of this rom vs BJs dade rom (clean version)?

which is faster, cleaner, less memory, and those type of things?

between the two its basically the style you are looking for...... each one of the chefs between jew and kaos have their own styles.......... i would run both and see what one is best fit for your needs of your ppc.... we all use are ppc's differently which leads to us needing different apps and roms :>

STOP LYING!! MY ROM IS BETTER!! Just joking! As Dash said...we have out own styles.... Try em both out.... There is nothing wrong with any of the ROMS!! They are both very well! You aint got nothing to loose!

Another Question IS there an audio booster or something in the settings i have to change my volume is way too low and is there a way to get the GPS to lock on faster?

I found another post on ppcgeeks that claims to be able to get quick gps lock ons. I'm planning to give it a try. I've got everything backed up so I should be good to go.

I'll post back the link if it works.

Ok, Kaos' ROM is already GPS enabled. However, it can take several minutes to get a lock and you kind of need to be outside for it to work.

I tried the fix for a faster lock at ppcgeeks:

It works great!!! I now get 4 or 5 satellites locked on INSIDE the house in less than a minute.

I used the instructions for Alltel, since that is my carrier. I also had to use the task manager option since ##3424 did not work for me.

funny my gps locks with in seconds. inside my home....i use it daily for 8 hrs m-f..never have a lock on issue........

I don't know what to say. All I can tell you is that before hand I had to use HTC GPS Tool to prime the gps by leaving it on for up to 10 minutes. It would eventually get a lock and THEN I could use it for google maps, etc. And that was every time I wanted to use gps if it had been a significant time since the last prime.

With the fix I posted, I get a lock in under a minute.

The ROM is great and I'm loving it. I'm just loving faster gps lock too. :D

why play with kiddy stuff like google maps? lol i use garmin.. already does everything you just stated. on a fresh flash takes only about 20 seconds.

I use Garmin too i think the not locking on has to do with me being in the middle of BFE but other than that is there an Audio booster or something im not doing right bout the sound? BY the way this is my first Rom i flashed and love it Great job

I actually prefer to use TomTom. And if TomTom is kiddy, then so be it. It's what I like.

Google maps is what everyone seems to refer to for testing gps, so that's why I mentioned it.

It's really irrelevant. My lock times were the same with all gps software.

Somehow I feel like you think I'm putting down your ROM. You could not be further from reality. I really like it. It's loads better that stock and the only way I've managed to get gps working period.

I only posted the other link for those of us who do happen to be experiencing long lock times. It did improve mine exponentially.

I was only trying to help, not disrespect your ROM.

well it most likely is your radio...also as far as the audio i don't know what you are saying. garmin audio works fine for me...as well as normal audio....

My radio is 3.37.10 and the audio on garim is fine it just seems like all the other audio is extermely low such as when my phone rings and i when i tried to go into the NUE audio it says there was an unexpected error and it says

Argument out of range exception
Specified argument was out of range of valid points
at system.sting.substring(int43startindex,Int32 length
at nueaudio.form1.makededafault()
.....ect........

hmmm works on my sprint version..i have no way to test Verizon...but if you press the speaker icon you should be able to increase audio alittle....

ive maxed everything out and it sounds bout halfway whats it supposed too but other than that i love the rom so ill deal with it its nothing major and is there a reason the HTC HOME plugin doesnt work?

Hey could someone help me please ? my phone is frozen at the screen with the sun coming up behind the earth, i did the unlock thing and i did the flash of the rom an now im frozen at this screen what do i do ?

maybe you need to pull your battery out and wait a minute and try to hard reset your phone too.
