no problem and after the first time you will cruise through flashing and not think anything of it.

first you posting and asking for something that has nothing to do with the topic..any nextel related stuff is archived which it can be found the bottom of the page.I suggest you read the forum rule about posting in the wrong area..

thats cdma correct???? it would be the same process than as listed for verizon users...... just follow theose steps and than at the point of flash after unlock run the rom that you need :>

rashumble7 09-09-2008 12:03 PM

Re: Flashing Roms Custom And Stock

Yes it is cdma, thanks for the swift reply. So i would use the verizon method of flashing, after flashing/unlocking i would call my metropcs service provider to connect the phone to my account and then flash new rom to the device. Is that correct? If not please correct me, im quite new to flashing but will pick up easy with detailed instructions. Thanks again for your time and patience

bro your fione just flash the rom of your choice now and your good to go.... this has been discussed before so you would have found your answer by doing a search...... ( for future reference) as long as the serial on the bottom screen changes to usb you iwll be connected to activesync or mobile device center and ready to flash.

Whoa! This thread was exactly what I was lookin for. Thanks for showing me what the hell a .nbh extension was. Even google barely knows! :)

BWUAHAHAHHAH!

This is great. Thanks for the great walkthrough. Things worked out on my first shot!! (sort of).

First time I booted it up after the successful flash it just started vibrating and wouldn't stop (not the first time my phone has done this, not sure if it is a ROM or hardware issue, has anyone else ran into this?).

After pullin the battery though everything worked out great. Booted up and is syncing now.

Thanks to Dash n Kaos for great work!!!!:yahoo:

should be the same way. i believe nuerom is in a folder with ruu_signed.nbh, ruuupdateutility.exe and other stuff. all you gotta do is make sure you're on a gps enabled rom and then unlock your phone then flash away!

ok i think is a good place to ask this... i hope anyway... any difference in flashing roms to the diamond. i know the rom would have to be designed for the diamond but other than that... do we still follow the same steps with the hardspl unlocker and all or is there a different unlocking program... just smack me if this is a stupid question!!!!

all you need is the unlcoker for the diamond as said above and than the rom....... the custom roms i have seen (juicy is the best and made mine off of his) have the nbh already inserted into the ruu upon download.... so unlock grab your rom and flash away... the steps are all the same as the mogul just a different unlocker. i will try to remember to get a tutorial for the diamond added later tonight :>

I saw there was an extra section for flashing under the touch section.

I am wondering is there any issues i should expect to run into while flashing my htc mogul with laptop running Vista 64bit?

(I know I could run into a million different possible failures....but I am just wondering if there are consistent errors while using vista 64bit I should be prepared for.)

Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks for your quick reply.

A quick question.

Are you using the 32bit os or the 64 bit os of Vista?

Seems I have problems doing things on 64bit version that people on 32bit version do not experience.
