Unlocker for Custom Roms on Vogue (sprint touch)

I have made an unlocker/patched bootloader for the touch. This is similar to the Hard-SPL for the Titan (Thanks Olipro for the lessons). It will CID unlock your device and allow you to flash unsigned code, these changes allow custom roms to be used.

If you need your device to be perfect for work etc. you might want to make sure you have a backup plan before running this. It has been tested successfully, but just remember you don't NEED to use this unlocker =)

This is only the first step for custom roms, The same tools for rom making on the Titan work for the Vogue by the way.

Please read all the instructions in the unlocker itself. It will need to be downloaded to the PC and then run while the device is attached with activesync. At one point you need to disconect and reconnect. At this point it will look like it's flashing a rom (standard rom update utility). Let that complete. Finally you will need to disable USB in activesync for the exitbl step. That's about it, if you have trouble re-read this post and the instructions again.

When completed successfully it will show version 0.40.CoKe and your device will be unlocked

Hey this program won't be clearing the data from my handset will it? Just when I flash a new ROM to it? (HTC VOGUE)
I may go ahead and unlock it now while I'm waiting for a better ROM Hopefully one with killer speeds and a gps unlock, or a imageon fix.

yes it will clear all the data from your phone so back up your important stuff on there.

lol naw not yet but keep me informed on that... the unofficial was a leaked and there prolly wont be one for the touch........ it wasnt ever supposed to leave sprint but some one released it on the net and got spread around.

Qick question...when I install this unlocker, and it unlocks my phone, clears my memory (BUT I did a back up) do I just run the back up file after I install the unlocker? And if so, after running the back up file, the phone will be like it use to be, but UNLOCKED? May sound like a dumb question, but I just wanna make sure because, thanks to Wckediden, I've customized my phone A LOT, and don't wanna lose it, but still want it unlocked.

yes it should be the same why unlock though unless flashing to a custom rom? but you wont be able to run a backup on a new rom if you were to flash to a new one which is the only reason the unlocker would be used.

ok so i used this and dont know if it worked...So how would i know if my phone is unlocked now....where would it say on my phone...when i was done with program never said phone unlocked

it wont if you ran it successfully your phone will reboot and act as if it is starting all over like when you first bought it asking you to allign the screen and all.......... if it didnt do that you didnt run the unlocker correctly.

Is there anything that will tell me wether or not my phone is unlocked? I ran the official leaked rom with no problem. Now I am trying to unlock and it does not seem to finish. Hoping to flash with the omj rom.

omj's roms require a newer version of the unlocker, this version is .40 and for omj you need 2.31. in his thread he gives you a link to download this unlocker. and if you unlock sucessfully then the unlocker number shows up in the bootloader screen (tricolor) by holding the power, camera, and soft reset buttons alltogether

Please anybody help me. I ran the unlocker. I'm using SRPINT HTC TOUCH. Now when the backlight of my phone turns off, i can't turn it back on. All the button i locked. Eventhough it's set to "DON NOT LOCK ALL BUTTON" when the device is off.. I have to soft reset m y phone everytime.. Please help

That's ok guys. I fixed it already I found a newer rom its called SPRINT 3.03.651.4. After the installation. Everythings back to normal. Wheew.. Thank you for the replies

hey wats up guys im also having the unlock problem with my htc touch.when i try to unlock my phone the screen will not turn on and i have to soft reset.any help would be appreciated.

this is a great tool. helped me to unlock my Touch so i could flash the latest WDM M2D rom v1.6. i've used this tool to help me on 4 phones now. works great!

tried to unlock my phone but came through a few problems, my phone said 3.61 coke on it, is it supposed to say 4.0? after all the steps were complete my phone was back to stock, is it safe for me to load a custom rom now or was i supposed to do it during the unlocking process? also it mentioned something about my micro sd card being fat32 but how do i re format it through my phone or do i need to use a adapter or sd slot?

this is an older version you need 2.31 version cuz .40 is for non gps roms

if your phone is new within the last 2 months then it will have GPS, and what mike is talking about isn't the phone that has gps but the ROM on the phone, any new rom will have gps built in therefore you will need the unlocker he linked you to

depends on your radio but doesnt matter if you have it now cuz its for the rom you plan to flash, you still need the latest one cuz all custom roms here have gps

you need to try again... they are sspl loaders only and you are not unlocked yet DO NOT FLASH ROMS FROM THEM follow instructions in the black screen that comes up when running the EXE and it will get you unlocked.

i've read this over and over again, the .40 version between the 2.31v got me confused a bit. when i get a successful unlock do i flash the custom rom during or after the unlock? thanks again mike

all the steps are in the flashing instructions in my signature buddy, just read and follow

flashing custom roms goes after unlocking btw (but i recommend flashing to the latest stock rom so you have the newest radio and gps enabled if you dont want to use the micro sd to update the radio and no need to unlock first)

alright, tried unlocking using the 2.31v twice already still getting 2.00coke on my phone but when the ruu comes up it says update to 2.31 followed all steps ruu complete to 100% back to stock rom is it safe for a custom one now? am i missing something here?

go to bootloader to check if you have 2.31 (hold camera, power, and soft reset) it should go to the tricolor screen and see if it says 2.31 coke, to exit just soft reset

Yoooo just got my Vogue in trying to unlock it so I can get started with this new toy of mine and this unlocker says it cannot open/start die to a 16bit exe not compatible with my 64bit platform?? So there has to be a way to unock this bad boy on my 64bit I would hope?? If not I will take it to work and unlock it on the 32bit system there. Any info on thi would be GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i replied in your other thread on this topic already..... jsut right click and extract the files than take the nbh and rename that to VOGUIMG.nbh and than format a 2 gb or less card to FAT32 with nothing else on there and dreag the nbh file to the card.... than place the phone in manual bootloader by pressing and holding the power and camera buttons while soft resettign and follow the steps.
