Sprint Htc Touch Keyboard!!!!
 

I was just wondering if there was a bigger keyboard for the Touch rather than the one that is already on the touch. I know i saw the happy tapping or something like that lol i was wondering if that is a beeter keyboard if it is i would install it help me!!!

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS... way better bro lol i love it. one constant keyboard with nice big keys. i can type just as fast on it as i can on my mogul!!! its great and well worth the install. under my touch mods with links thread look for SIPChange also you can have force the phone to using that keyboard at all times even on soft reset.... great keyboard... in this thread if you try it tell us how you like it,

so whic one is the keyboard happy tapping or SIPchange lol not sure but seems to me your going to tell me Happy Tapping . So if i download happy tapping i need to downlooad SIPchange too, and if it is i download it to the device right not the storage card or does it matter

happy tapping is the keyboard itself. that is all you need but SIPChange makes it so that you will only get that keyboard for every screen unlike it is on the touch right now wher it pops up a certain keyboard for password, internet, text, etc... and also this will make it so that the happy tapping keyboard is the one that will show up even on a soft reset. to do this all you do is download the app than open it on your phone, choose the keyboard you want as your default than your DONE.|

I installed Happy Tapping keyboard and have the sip change but the keyboard that comes up under happy tapping is very small and generic. I put the iphone bmp files in to change the look but that is very small to, i figured it might be like the iphone where you can actually touch it with your fingures and not screw it up. Is there something I am missing?

as long as you choose happy tapping you from the list you will have it. i like it myself and all but as said in the mods sticky thread everyone likes different and all. theres many out there for you too try.

once u have it installed on your phone click the button on the top left hand of the on screen keyboard and the keyboard goes full screen wooot hope you like it

I got a mac so i can't run that exe :-/ I know it sucks when it comes to WM phones because you really do have to have a PC for this stuff. Maybe I'll try to get a copy of Vista or XP and dual boot or run in parallels. Thanks for that though. I'm sure its what i need. Thanks all!

here you go dude this one is bttr so once u install it on the top right hand of the onscreen keyboard just click the button that looks like a keyboard and it will put the keyboard in full screen mode

I really like the happy tapping just because the keys are nice and separated and you know that you are tapping the right keys...it works really well for me.

I guess my happy tapping keyboard is diffrent the one when i select it looks very generic white keyboard that is very small, i then added a skin to make it colors and look like iphone some but it is still very small. Could anyone provide the correct .cab file maybe i got the wrong one i will try to load it again, i just gotta figure out how to change the options for my options are in chinese and not english.

try to uninstall and reinstall again it shouldnt be coming up in chinese and all and its much bigger than the stock one heres a screen shot of what it should look like whn you are done....

i guess i can't seem to figure out how to uninstall apps. I tried using pocket mechanic but everytime it says cannot find unloader.exe so it fails. Is there another way I can delete programs?

All depends on what you are doing my man. I use touchpal, because it is big enough to tap real fast with my fingers without any worries and it has predictive t9 type stuff, but good luck finding uncommon symbols in that keyboard, in which case I just go to the happy tapping keyboard, still easy to use i just cant type as fast with it...so its always good to have a couple keyboards on your device.

Hey guys! I'm new to your website after finally switching from the Samsung i500 to the HTC Touch. On my old phone, I used a program called Fitaly that is an innovative keyboard that I now have installed on my Touch.
If you like using a stylus, it is one of the best and fastest keyboards out there. I tried some of the keyboards you guys are talking about and they don't compare to Fitaly. You can download a free trial from their website. It is awesome! First, the arrangement is optimized for the letters you use more often. Then, like other keyboards, you tap the letter you want, but if you want a capital letter you tap and slide... no more having to hit 'shift' first... It's the same for numbers/punctuation, and it's totally customizable. You can slide in different directions to produce pre-configured phrases, characters, etc. A major time saver. If you give it a try you'll see what I mean. I can literally type 30-50 words per minute.

Just google Fitaly and check it out.

I second that venom. I use the touch pal keyboard and find i actually type faster on that than my qwerty on my old htc wizard. Somethin about the big keys on it got me flyin on it. Its also got really good predictive text and once it learned all my favorite words I fly on that thing. I also got the zoom board for more accurate text such as passwords and shit. Its always good to have an arsenal of keyboards. i even use the damn letter recognizer sometimes for notes and task.
