soft keys
 

Hi all I have instaled the sktool and found the place to change the buttons but i whant the right soft key to lock the phone. I do not know what to do next??

ok so sic=nce you have found the right spot to do it u will have to enetr the folowing info:

for the name: enter "lock" (or whatever name you want) this is what the soft key will be called on the today screen

next you are going to have to enter the correct path for the lock phone app

although this is a nice thing i further reccomend you not to change the softkey but to add the lock phone to your today screen by going to:
start/settings/personal/today/click the sub tab "items"/scrool the list and check of device lock

cause u can have it on your today and it will be right above the soft key so u can maximize your phones usage and have the soft key go to something else

that and the fact that i cant seem to find the path to the device lock if u can find it program the device key ill try to find it later when im at my house

i too have been unsuccessful in finding the lock for the softkey. but as tigerz said i would look into having on the homescreen. that is what i do to maximize the usage of big buttons on my phone so i dont have to use th etip of the fingernail to push summtin in the start men6u. but i will continue to search and see what i can find for the unlock screen as a soft key.

LOL - I wanted to do this as well but cannot find the f*cking path for the device lock!

So frustrating.

my mogul has a keylock.exe in the windows folder that locks the buttons.Its not part of my slide 2 unlock.So its gotta be a stock thing.

ive found the answer to all your problems on this one i found a nice lil program that remaps the two soft keys with jus a simple set of clicks then bam its done

nice find but could you upload to a server or to our server so everyone doesnt have to search for it on engines.

i have sktools but cant even eem to find where i have to go to change my soft keys......can somebody help
