How To Make Themes Like Me D/\SH And My Boy Tigerz

EDIT: tigerz made this video tutorial to go along with my written one below...




1. To start you will need to download ThemeGenCE you can find it here: http://www.freewareppc.com/misc/themegence.shtml
2. Once you do that install the theme generator to your computer and yes this is WM6 and Vista Compatible.
3. Get your images from your favorite search engine or your own collection that you want to use. You will want a picture for portrait, landscape, and possibly one for the drop down menu.
4. Once your pictures are chosen open up ThemeGenCE and it will come up with a pop-up that says adapt theme if needed. Go to the options area next to the box that says theme format. Than choose the one that says QVGA P+L (240X294) (320X214) than click validate.
5. Than go to the mona lisa picture on the top navigation bar of the screen and click on it. Choose your picture this one will be for landscape. And once you got it measured up the way that you want it click the image that looks like a disc sticking out of the drive. (three from the right) and that will save the image.
6. Once done with that click on where it says start. That will be for the start menu and you can either use the same picture or choose a custom one by clicking on the camera to the far left of the navigation bar.
7. Than click on where it says landscape and follow the same steps for the landscape mode of the theme.
8. Once you have it the way that you want go to the main page again by clicking on the red button and than click on the icon that looks like a rubrics cube and change the colors to the way that you want them to be. (also to the left of the preview image click WM6 and the buttons below will be how you can view what it looks like.)
9. WARNING WM6 BARS APPEAR DIFFERENT THAN THEY LOOK SO GO TO THE VIEWS AND MAKE SURE THE BARS LOOK RIGHT BEFORE SAVING AND GETTING FRUSTERATED. FYI THE DARKER THE COLOR YOU CHOOSE THE LIGHTER THEY APPEAR FOR WM6 AND THE LIGHTER THE DARKER THEY LOOK WITH WM6.
10. Once you set all the colors to the way that you want them to be all you have to do is click the icon to the left of the mona lisa to save it as a tsk file.
11. Your DONE.
12. THEN TO HELP US OUT AT Wckediden POST YOUR CUSTOM THEME UP FOR ALL TO DOWNLOAD!!!

New user. Haven't even got my Touch yet. Makin' themes like I've been doin' it for years already. Noobs: Try it before you give up and ask for help. It ain't as hard as you think it is. Use the tutorial!

therw is no cab this is ran on the computer as seen in the tutorial video... this is dreeare and can be found on th site above. if its not woking check back later or search google since it is a freeware.

yes i know when i get a chance you dont understand how busy i have been bro getting caiught up on the site and posts and full time college and full time work 3r shift anda social life lol.. it will get done though sometime this weekend.

but 1 question, I downloaded irfanview 2 resize my pics to use for my themes,
1 how do u resize the image like tigerz has it?
2 is there a size for the start menu?

sorry it seems like i mistyped! I said to look at page 2 all the way to the bottom b/c I asked a question in there, but Ill ask here: How do I resize an image using irfanview and to what aspect b/c when I was making a theme I had to chop out some of the image I wanted to use.

Yayyyy!! I did my first "Girly" theme!! You guys seem 2 leave us girls out with the themes & so forth!! Thanks for everything Dash!! YOU ROCK!! I have the theme made that I want you to put on my phone. Now...I have to figure out how to upload it so everyone can see it!! Hmmmmm!! Help will be greatly appreciated! (YES!! I'm a Noob)

alright very easy to do. all you do is go to the side menu on your left and than go to mobile themes. than choose ppc themes. than once you do that just go below submit thread button and attach the .tsk file and the images and you will be done...

the button next to mona lisa is grey and i cant save my creation any ideas to why and how can i fix this problem. thank for your help

you need to add pictures first and all and get it set up with all the images than it will appear.

Sup fellas...two things, first when i use the the Theme Gen when i try to click put theme on pc it is not highlighted and wont let me click it. Is there anything that im doing wrong?
Second can i use this to make icons? like i wanted to change my icons on HTC Customizer i have a crazy idea. Can and how would i do this?

i answered your question above for the first one and no you cant make icons through this it is only for the themes.

all you have to do is make the new thread under the ppcthemes area and than under where you submit thread you attach the pictures and the theme and you will be golden.... also make sure you save the pictures as jpg or jpeg.

im using irfan view but cant seem to resize it to 240*320. the other part keeps on changing every time i put numbers in. can anyone help?

my fault for the extra post....i probably wasnt clear in the first. i trying to resize my pictures to portrait 240*294 and land 320*214. when i do it in irfan the other numbers keep changing in the corresponding box. any help

you have to uncheck the box that says preserve aspect ratio
